Ok, I got a hefty gift certificate for a really nice spa for Christmas. Kind of nice since it's not something I would normally go for (I have a hard enough time sitting still to get my hair cut!), but maybe a little pampering and TLC would be nice. So, I'm not sure what
treatment(s) to choose - mud bath, reflexology, hot stone massage, facial, pedicure, reiki, and that's just to name a few?Anybody want to help me decide? All suggestions welcome.
Thanks.

Ohh- those are all great things, you can't go wrong with any of them.
Personally, I'd go for the hot stone massage and the facial... sounds so good...

if you have a hard time sitting still for a haircut i wouldn't vote for the facial. i got one for christmas and it just seemed to go on forever...i couldn't wait to get out of there. maybe the pedicure or a manicure where you can see progress and results immedately?

Here is something I found on the web for you...you can ask if you may lay down....and it may be a false claim but...you can do your nails and all but this and seaweed aren't things we have around us often :)
The 1996 China Reflexology Symposium Report has found foot reflexology to be 93.63% effective in treating 63 disorders. After an analysis of 8,096 clinical cases, Dr. Wang Liang reported that reflexology was significantly effective (the cure) in 48.68% of all the cases, and an effective/improved treatment in 44.95% of the cases
Another study, in Britain, had fifteen women receive half-hour reflexology sessions for eight weeks. The findings included noticable physical and emotional improvements, increased self-esteem and confidence, an ability to stay motivated and be heard and taken seriously, and an improvement in concentration.

Wow! Thanks for the info. I have been curious about reflexology for a while now. I could try it and still have enough for a couple of other treatments. I might be able to tolerate a 30 minute session (if I think I might get too hyper, I guess I can always take a Xanax before). This might be kinda fun after all!

Youre weclome its very worthwhile to try and xanax would be smart cause I too have issues in a dental chair or getting my hair done...but this is a maybe once in a life time shot...unless you love it then start saving lol...from what I know its very relaxing..It said something in there about when one steps on a tack they have physical and emotional responses all over ...so it would come to reason that this would relax and all..Um hahah I should say they do NOT make you walk on tacks :P go for it :)

I am actually looking forward to going for spa treatments now. I like the thought of a hot stone massage, reiki and maybe even a facial. I'll try to stifle my hyperactiveness long enough to try to enjoy it. Who knows, maybe it's just what I need to calm me down!
Thanks again.
