I think I need some breathing space from PB. I hope you continue to stick around, Angel Girl. That was all I ultimately hoped to achieve: to right what I perceived as a serious wrong. But I need to decompress. And I think some people (maybe lots) are just plain sick of me at this point. Never good to overstay a welcome. A message from Alex on Admin kind of drove home this point. Thanks for all the love and support everybody but I truly am leaving now. It is not right that I stay if Atticus leaves. I'm sooooo very, very sad. :(

I am deeply sorry for all the havoc that I have caused while being here. I hope now that I am leaving, PB will go back to normal, whatever that may be.

I had a crisis when I first came to babble...
we all get our time in the sun...
it's a passage...
don't leave and watch how all this will go into another change.
the one thing about babble is it's always changing...
each person adds to the flavor of the mix.
I wish you all would just stick around and see how it all unfolds.

Alex, Angel Girl, everyone else. This is not an attempt to make anyone else feel bad. I will be gone for a while, then I will very likely be back. But right now, I need to just "lie down" for a while. All this sturm-und-drang on PB is spilling over into my real life and causing my rapid-cycling BP to spin out of control. Yesterday, when I blew up at my boss, and I knew deep down that it was because I'd become too emotionally involved with Babble, I realized I simply needed a holiday. Angel Girl, Alex, I hope you'll stay around. But the manic aggression that's running away with me on PB is manifesting itself in corrosive ways IRL, and that I simply can't have. I need a few weeks or so to cool down and regain my equilibrium. My emotions are just running way too close to the surface and are simply much too unstable right now. I've got to reachieve some kind of tranquility or I'm only going to get worse. Thanks for your concern. And to Susan, yes, I did ride a motorcycle, but it was smashed in a wreck (along with a good bit of my left knee -- only the slightest of limps there these days). I hope you all can understand why I need to do this -- and I hope you won't hold it against me. Ta. ;) Atticus

Hi Atticus:
I understand the need for a break. Last night after going through PB I literally lay down in my bed out of sheer exhaustion. It brought back memories of our misunderstanding in the fall. It's amazing to me how cyber-communication can become so emotionally draining. I hope you feel better. I think I'm going to take a break from PB too.

Hey, make it a short break. I've had to ease away from babble several times. Mostly after battles like the one you recently handled so well.
