(I read your post but knew it didn't sound like yourself.) There should be an automatic warning in such posts, like, "I WAS OUT TO LUNCH WHEN I WROTE THIS".
Hope you're feeling better, and better about yourself.

jyl,
I'm in the same boat. Blew ten days sobriety last night, made some reckless posts, and now I'm filled with self-loathing.
Back to one day at a time.

Remember an apology goes a long way...
Especially to the person you hurt.
Have you tried the 'setting limits' function?Pretty useless, eh?
Hope you are feeling a bit better today.

It's the way I self block when I fear my willpower won't be enough. Unfortunately there may be a problem getting back in, unless you first email your email address to Dr. Bob or me (my email address is in the FAQ).
You change your password to a string of unmemorable numbers. Then you change your email address to something unlikely to be anyone's email address, but that still looks like an email address (with an @ and all). Once you do this, there is no way at all to post without reregistering under a different name. Unless Dr. Bob is able to fix it, which he says might be hard to do.
If you want to make it less permanent, don't change your email address, just your password. That way you can restore access to Babble a lot easier.
Don't forget to keep your Open membership, and the emails of some Babble buddies. You don't want to be without support if you need it.
Deep breaths, focus deeply, relax. And remember you are cared about on Babble. Most of us understand Babble breaks all too well, but we'll always be happy to see you posting.

I always read your posts. You have such a special way of expressing yourself.
Please take care of yourself.

Another way to get blocked.
I babblemailed Dr B once and asked him to block me for a couple of days.
He did that. Got the time difference worked out and all :-)

I always read your posts. You are one of my favorites and selfishly, I don't want you to be blocked. So you drank yesterday, oh well, it doesn't make you a terrible person. It's really o.k.
take care,
antigua
