I've grown weary of the Admin nonsense again. It feels like things were just too cozy, and he needed to stir things up. Bob's PBC to AG was the last straw for me. It was completely unnecessary. PsychCentral is run by John Grohol, PsyD. He NEVER jabs posters just to see what happens. He treats them with care and respect.
Stop by and visit me some time.
Kisses,

Well, b*llocks, em. Just as I was starting to get to know you. One minute I'm making brassiere jokes on PB with someone and then, poof, she goes walkabout. Well, I'll have to take a cyberstroll over to this other site, then, to see if I can find you. It's been lots of larfs. Ta. ;) Atticus

Hmm, Ill wander over sometime but I bet my posting name and anything else I can think of without numbers in it has already been taken.
Grumble grumble.
Please come back after a bit.
Maybe stay away from admin or something.erm. Dr B, how about self imposed blocks on the admin board only? Or even letting some people XXX out the whole damned board?
I mean I like it. It is one of my favourite boards. But I am starting to see why some people don't like it.
Come and talk to us sometimes . Please. Your presence will be missed :-(

Ew yuk. I have been over there... Sorry, don't like it :-(
I guess I like it here.
Still, just in case I get blocked I managed to keep my posting name :-)
Not happy about being emailed my PASSWORD back in return (grumble grumble...)

What with the avatars, elaborate signature lines, and emoticons, I would rather watch "I Luv Lucy" reruns than visit PsychCentral.

Yeah ok so I can't spell that one too good.
Fully freaked.
ARE PEOPLE ALLOWED TO HAVE LINKS TO PICTURES OF THEIR SI OVER THERE - NO TRIGGER WARNINGS OR NOTHINGOMG.
I had no idea I was going to be opening that.
I can understand how severity can matter in terms of whether one should seek medical attention or whatever but not without a warning or nothing. That wasn't helpful
That wasn't helpful at all.

I've tried Psych Central, and its not for me..
I like the "old skool" feel of the programminmg over here.. and, maybe it was the time I visited, but to me, it felt like one huge website devoted to slagging off Dr Bob.. And that made me very uncomfortable, as I didn't feel I could join in with that. Personally, I like Dr Bob, and am, and ALWAYS will be, incredibly grateful for what he has given us here.

I'm afraid I missed AG being blocked, I had no idea, that's terrible.
Not again.I don't like the other site, it's too busy, I feel wired after two minutes.

Ohh, Em. I'm sorry you're not going to be around here :(. I always love reading what you have to contribute and it's not the same when you're not around. You know how to laugh, give wonderful support, and make me think.
Poop. This makes me sad. (Can you see my lower lip sticking out?)
Fortunately pour moi, the format of either of these boards ain't gonna stop me from being friends with you. You're *way* *way* too special to let smileys, dancing bears, civility rules, or whatever keep me from posting to you wherever you want to be. I believe the best thing I've gotten out of these boards comes from other posters - knowledge, support, comfort, and friendship. It's all about the people and you, my dear, are one of the best.
I'll see you over there, sweet Ms. Tofu and I'll be here too, if you decide to come back.
Tons and tons of hugs and kisses,
Laurie

You actually find a few familiar posters at PsychCentral. That is good. It makes me feel more secure should something happen to Babble (god forbid).
I apologise for my other post. Whoa. Or even more regretably WHOAH!! I shouldn't have posted that here, I just freaked a bit. Thanks people who PM'd me on that one.
Emoticons are fun, to be sure...
But I find the differences to be something like the differences between a magazine and a journal. Simple format is good for me. Helps one focus on content which is what I like to do. I can see how different people may be better suited to different boards. I didn't stick around long, to be sure, but Babble is my home. Nice to know there are options, though. I didn't know that before. If I ever get blocked, you will all be able to find me there.
I might pop over from time to time
But Babble is my home :-)

I can't believe I missed this aspect of your post. Ugh ugh ugh. You will be missed here on Babble. Your humor, your wisdom, your caring. I'm glad you will continue to share that with others, and I will definitely see you at PC.
