I reiterate, I posted this as a New Thread because, I believe your situation and request truly demanded a New Thread, so as to make it clearly separate from the original subject of the other thread (meeting fellow Babblers), which was totally irrelevant to your subject, and give your subject the individual notice it deserves.
When you quoted Susan, you omitted (perhaps overlooked?) the fact that it was where Atticus was coming from that she was assessing, not where you were coming from.
I think your idea of having another (or several) person's objective opinion is a good idea. Would you then accept and be content with their input, or would their input also become another point of contention?

Thank you for your consideration in regards to this matter.
I feel that if others gave their view of this situation, that then their inputcould be incorperated into a consensus and then I could have more infomation to write my response to the issues.
