Mmmm pumpkin pie :-)
When I figured out a couple of years ago that I wanted to go to the states I got some recepies of the net for 'pumpkin pie' and 'pecan pie' as I have read about them but had never tried them.
The pumpkin pie turned out great, kind of cheesecake textured (mmm cheesecake). The pecan pie was disappointing, I thought the syrup was meant to go kind of like toffee but instead it puffed up like a cake... oh well.

hmmm...with that pecan pie thing, maybe you have developed a new recipe. here in the states some contests would award you $10,000 for that. It needs to be edible though!

Well it was sortof edible, but not very nice really. I did wonder why the recepie required baking powder...
I typically get recepies for things like chocolate chip cookies of the net. The ones that win cookie bakeoffs. The only trouble is that they make oh so many of the darn things :-)
