How do you pronounce the word "Jaguar"? I have always pronounced it "Jag-war." Over the past year or so, the announcer on Jaguar commercials has been referring to the car as a "Jag-U-ar." Is that how the word is pronounced in the UK?

When I lived over there I don't remember any "u"s pronounced. It was Jag-War.

Is how its pronounced over here.. both the car and the animal!!!

Me too, I've always prounounced the u and a together like you'd say in the word quart.
