Good news about SandyWeb *trigger*

Posted by partlycloudy on June 21, 2004, at 10:57:36

(Ok, OK, so I really can't stay away from Babble. you guys are my pals and my support system. I'm very grateful for all the love and support I receive. I won't run away so quickly again.)

On to the news:

SandyWeb was hospitalized last week after an unsuccessful attempt at suicide. This time she was admitted for an evaluation and placed in a p-ward for about 5 days. She is going to be in a day-visit plan. She is not going to be evicted (1 month repreive); she can resume her nursing education if she chooses; her family has pitched right in and is helping her immensely. She is considering many options for her future, both immediate and long term, and they are all hopeful. She sends regards to her fellow Babblers.

She has a followup appointment with her "team" - a p-doc, a therapist, and a social worker, this Thursday. She said it was OK to let you all know what was going on.

For all those who know her, I know you'll be as happy as I was when I heard from her. A testimony to the resilience of the human spirit.

Dang fine news! Please pass along my good wishes and happiness. I'm so glad she has reached out and received much help in return. How wonderful that her family is being supportive, and that school is a possibility once again. Sandy has much experience to offer to many. I think that the more you've been hurt, the more you can help others, cuz you understand.

Thank you for letting us know, and THANK YOU for being here! :-)

Emmy

Thank you so much partly - that IS really good news. Please let Sandy know that I am still thinking about her, and that I am so very very glad to hear that she is finding help. And her family is a-one in my book if they can help her to stay in nursing.

((((Sandy)))) (((soft strokes))) (((Family)))

PC,
I'm so glad you posted this. It sounds like things are looking up, and it's relieving to know that there is a team in place now.

Thanks, and please send Sandy my good wishes when you talk to her next.

I'm glad to hear that Sandy is getting the care she needs and, more importantly, deserves. I hope she is feeling better very soon.

If you can, pc, tell her we are thinking of her and wishing her all the best.

Thanks for posting the update.

Laurie
