EM, should be any day now. Maybe today! It was about 6 weeks for me on 10mgs but since you have increased to 15 only a week ago it may be a little bit longer. You are almost there and you will know when it happens. Mrs. C

Jlynne, thanks for sharing with me. I have read about your form of OCD and it really amzaes me. I'm sure it is very difficult for you to deal with being unsure of things and have to check and recheck. My form of OCD has never included those rituals. Mine is always health related. Just today, I am worrying about the ringing sound in my ear when all is quiet and wondering why I have it. The "me" before lexapro would be searching the web for information and skimming through my medical books looking for clues. The new me is trying very hard to let it go and refusing to waste time looking for more reasons to worry. But the thought stays with me for days. Hopefully not weeks in this case but we'll see. Hope you will tell me more stories about yourself, it helps to know that I am not alone. Does anyone else here do this? Mrs. C

Hi Mystic, my month has just been so hectic and will continue to be until after Easter. Please don't worry about me if I don't post for a few days. I'm fine and feeling much better these days. I'm just really busy! I can't believe how active you all have been over the past few days. I have been at the computer almost an hour now catching up with everything. There were over 80 posts that I missed! Good news, I got my period today. That's not the good news though, the good news is that it came unexpectedly. It was on time but didn't even feel the anxiety I have usually felt before the "event" that gives me a clue that it's on it's way. I have been moving along pretty normally. I have had some obsessive thinking about ringing in my ear but I'm dealing with that okay. It's not depressing me. My next appointment with the therapist is next week and we will begin to work through whatever makes me tick. Hoping that the increase in the dose will eventually get rid of these thoughts. I may have to go to 20 as suggested by the doc.
Anyway, everyone seems like they are doing okay and progressing pretty well. I'm a little concerned about Simus and want you to know that I am praying for you. Talk to ya all later. Mrs.C

HI LEXY! I missed your perky posts! Glad that you are back safely and that you had a fun trip. You sound wonderful. I am feeling really good too. The side effect from 15 were very mild and only lasted about 2 days. I may go up to 20 soon too but for now am happy at 15. Thanks for asking! Talk to ya soon. Mrs. C

You sound so much better. Your tone is alot lighter. Are you noticing a difference yet? Mrs. C

Hi Mrs. C. - good to hear you're busy - that is a sign of "normal" isn't it?!?! I think I read somewhere that tinnitus (ear ringing) can be one of the s/e's of ADs. I think magnesium is supposed to help that!
Have a great week and glad to hear you're doing so well. Hopefully you'll find therapy enjoyable. After the first few "getting to know you" sessions, I really look forward to it.

Hey, thanks for the magnesium tip. I will try that. I am thinking of calling my doc to have her take a look at my ear. We are flying in 3 weeks and if there is something else going on, I'd like to find out before then.
My life is so "normal" it's scarey. I'm the typical "mom" who volunteers for everything and plus I go to school. That along with my two girls, husband, home, work, planning a trip...Need I say more! Five months ago this kind of schedule sent me hiding in my room crying for mercy, literally. Lexapro has given me the tools to deal with these things again without cracking up. See Ya. Mrs. C

Mrs. C. - It might be a good idea to mention it to your doctor, you could just have an ear infection or something simple.
I am soooo glad to hear that you're feeling "normal" . . . bravo, congratulations and hooray! It is what I want too!! To spend your time on the things you value and not have it stress you out or make you feel pushed to the edge of sanity is something a lot of people take for granted I think :-). It's funny how growing up and into my 20's all I wanted was a career and in my late 30's & into my 40's all I want is to help at school, keep up the house, take care of my family!
I'm very happy for you, it sounds like you are there!

Holy Crap! That's wonderful! (excuse my language). Did you see the movie "Sweet Home Alabama"? So good. He took her to Tiffany's and closed down the place so she could pick out her ring! How cool for you and I'm happy as can be for you. Mrs. C

Hey Girls,
hahaha, I am really excited and wish I were running around with "the ring on my finger". The ring that I like the best was a 2.00 carat Asscher cut (its like a square emerald cut named after the man who cut all the royal jewels) it has a layer of 24 smaller diamonds that go around it and 24 diamond on the sides and fron of the platnium, even the prongs have diamonds!!!! My hand was shaking when I had it on... BLLLIIINNNGGGG, just hoping it will be mine someday.

Susie,
Hi... I saw your note to Mrs.C. I can tell you that for me lexapro was not always that good, infact I did not start feeling good until I upped my dose to 15mg. However, I did have some really good things happen from the 10mgs but just still was not myself, I would say that 10mg got me about 70-75% back to me, I would say that on 15 mg I have been feeling about 85% and two days had 90% days. I am hoping to see some 100% from the 20mg which I started today. Hang in and hang on, it is a journey of ups and downs, at this point I am having more ups than downs. If you have any doubts, go to the archives and read my early postings. wheeeew,if I can come out of it, so can you. Good luck and God Bless

Lexy..you are so right there are so many ups and downs...When I first started without everyone on the posts I would have probably given up and if I hadnt it would have been 100 times harder without everyone on here because the knowledge I got on these posts were invaluable...I could realize that I wasnt alone and that I wasnt feeling anything that everyone hadnt felt and everyone kept telling me to ride it out and I did and feel better..I'm afraid that I'm starting to slip again not sure if it is because of the dental work I had done yesterday and the stress from that or worrying about the upcoming baby shower next week or just worrying that I dont deserve to feel better and it is going to end...I am due for my cycle and that worries me also since last month it was terrible but wasnt on Lex that long..We all know how we can obsess about things and I guess I'm rattling tonight..Just feeling a little depressed and anxious and not feeling that great...I'm done..I'm really excited that Emily is finally starting to see some difference and feeling better..>I'm glad that Mrs C. is back..and I'm really excited about the upcoming engagement hahahah...I'm glad I found all of you..and thank you so much for sharing...Take care and talk to you soon...Mystic
