> Elle: Girlie, I miss you too.... Is your mother letting up a bit? Do I need to give her a call and tell her to take better care of my sister? Take care of yourself and don't get overwhelmed (I know, it's hard).. School's halfway done, right? You're almost a semester closer to achieving your goals. If I can help in any way, plesae let me know. I really miss you.. I hope you miss me too..

I do miss you! I believe I had a manic episode that lasted about three days, but I want to talk to my therapist first to make sure. I noticed that it was preceeded by a nasty bout of depression that lasted about 2 weeks. I wonder if that means anything significant. I'm starting a new quarter at school in about 5 weeks. I decided to take this class called Theraputic Approaches. Sounds interesting. Maybe I can finally fix myself. My mother decided to let me see my therapist twice a month, which I can deal with. I think I'm going to stop seeing Burt, and just talk to him about my prescriptions over the phone. It's an option. I think it's the right choice. How are things with you? How's school? What happened with that group therapy idea of Bubba's? I'm curious! :)

Hey, Karen! It was so sweet of you to post to everyone!

Sorry it's taken me a while to respond. Just too much going on, I guess.

Other than my insurance company being stupid, therapy has been good. I hope it can continue that way.

So, how are *you* doing?

How is your head? Did Bubba see the bump?

How is your friend doing?

Did I read right that you have six sisters? Wow! Any brothers?

Did you talk to Bubba about group?

Buy any cute shoes or clothes lately? Yummy perfume?

Did you see Lala's dress? Pretty, isn't it?

Nice to see Miss Honey back (if only for a short while) wasn't it?

Eat any LaBamba burritos lately?

Let us know what's new with you :).

Oh, I could spend all day talking aobut the whole "Grou Project," but I am going to group. I'll enjoy interacting with the people, but I don't think it will help me with the "real" problem I have.. Only time will tell...

My Pdoc was quite surprised that Bubba put me in Group. He suggested I start seeing a new, long-term therapist... I suppose they'll have a talk about it... And maybe Bubba will suggest I switch, maybe not.. Oh, well.. I'll be happy either way, as I* create my own happiness... And even with the events going on, I'm quite happy..

I'm glad your mother backed down a bit. I was afraid I was going to have to give her a call so we could chat... And why in the world do you want to leave Burt? Look into your motivations behind leaving him, and see what you think the reason is... I just don't want you to do something you may regret... Cuz I LOVE you and miss you dearly... I miss all the conversations we had together... With all the participants.... I just miss it period...

Hey there sweetie.. Your insurance (seems we're both having problems in that area, eh? Do they do it on puropse, or what???) will be figured out and I'm crossing my fingers for you too... They'll stop being stupid and you'll continue seeing Beefcake and will live happily ever after.. I just KNOW it!!!

> So, how are *you* doing?

*I'm Super-Fantastic, thanks for asking!!!
>
> How is your head? Did Bubba see the bump?

My head's ok, but my whole upperbody is SOOO sore. And my bruise with thew indention of my bed frame is turnging that green color, so it will heal... I'd like to show Bubba some bumps, if you catch my drift :)
>
> How is your friend doing?

*She's OK.. In day therapy right now.. 9-5.. She's holding out for our trip to Cali, as she's never left the state before.. She'll have a blast and I'll make sure of it... She's in good hands with me..
>
> Did I read right that you have six sisters? Wow! Any brothers?

*Nope, no brothers. My family is known for just having girls in the family... Maybe it's because we are all bautiful? My sister did have a son and we thought the world was coming to an end when we heard the news,,,,
>
> Did you talk to Bubba about group?

*Yes, he talked aobut it quite a bit,,, He's excited, as this is his first group. I asked if he would point out when I'm lying (as I lie often you know) and he said he would... That jsut sucks, period.. I want to LIE! I want to withold info... I sometimes want to be a different person, and I think that;'s where the lying comes from... But, then there are times I'm happy to be me.. Wish they would come more often, a I tend to get myself into binds from "just being me."

>
> Buy any cute shoes or clothes lately? Yummy perfume?

*Nope, my old man says we're broke.. And I despise being broke.. But, I am going to buy some tennis shoes and work out clothes... As, I don't own tennis shoes or even a T_shirt to work out in... I'm more for style than comfort..
>
> Did you see Lala's dress? Pretty, isn't it?

*Lala's dress is gorgeous... She'll make quite the lovely bride for me... I can't wait to marry her. See, I;'m avoiding the fact that I;m not the (????GROOM???),,, although LaLa if we got married, I'd be the bride for certain! I want the dress, darn it!

>
> Nice to see Miss Honey back (if only for a short while) wasn't it?

*Oh, I about fell out of my chair... She's avoiding us because I'm not marrying her. I'd be disappointed if I were her too.... But, she's such a cutie how could I be upset with her for long... She's a gorgeous woman isn't she??? With her auburn hair, WOWSA.. PERFECTION..
>
> Eat any LaBamba burritos lately?

*No, I wish.. My boyfriend only eats them when he goes out drinking. So, if I get them, then it;s at 3 am.. But, it's worth the wait..
>
> Let us know what's new with you :).

I will darling... I think I'm just avoiding the fact that I;'m gonna lose Bubba.. He told me again that after group, if "something" comes up, I can start seeing him again.. But, it doesn't seem the same, you know... Men, sometimes they confuse me, especially when you can't have sex with them, because if they don't want sex, what could they possibly want.....

The prices were more expensive than ATA.com.. I found a pretty good deal there, so I'm going to go ahead and reserve... Of course, after I do, I'll find a flight $30 cheaper... Plus, I need to book 2 seats, not just one..

Thanks for the encouragement. I think I am a tight hugger, when I feel close to and safe with the person. Then, yeah, there's not much better. Although chocolate and well, other things....but you know what I mean.

Thanks! Where are you going on your flight? I'm off to DC in mid-March. I booked on Yahoo and got a decent deal. Not being a really savvy traveller, I'm a little nervous. I'm used to my husband handling all the tickets, check in, transportation to hotel, etc. Now it's up to me. And I have a real tendency to get lost. Probably end up on a plane to Idaho or something. :)

Take care, sweetie!

Well, I'm glad that at least you enjoy the conversation. Did you talk to Bubba about your "real" problem? Can you call him?

> My Pdoc was quite surprised that Bubba put me in Group. He suggested I start seeing a new, long-term therapist

What were his reasons for suggesting a long-term therapist? He doesn't think your ready for group yet?

> And why in the world do you want to leave Burt?

Well, he told me about a year into my tx, that he didn't think he was qualified to deal with "these types of issues." I ignored him because at the time I couldn't see myself with another pdoc. I honestly don't feel like he is putting 100% into my therapy. I feel like he forces himself to sit through my session. I think I will continue to see him for meds, although over the phone only. He and Begonia can discuss my "emotional problems" and then he can decide the best course of drug therapy for me. (Although, he has already gone through several medications with me). Ugh.

Your pdoc is willing to manage your meds by phone? I assume he is in contact with your therapist to keep an eye on how you're doing. My pdoc sees me every three or four months for ten minutes, just for meds, but I'm not sure he'd be willing to go to just phone visits.

My old therapist said that she didn't think that "she was helping me anymore". I ignored her, but she wasn't 100% there, either. We need to start listening to them when they say things like this.

So hard!

He actually offered the phone visits before I had a therapist. If you think about it, it's much like what happens with a GP. Now, he and my therapist are keeping in touch. He has a list of billing costs for different types of sessions. The phone call for meds check is on that list.

So hard!

Isn't that the truth! I originally thought that the reason he told me that he "wasn't qualified to help with these types of problems," was because it was right after I told him I SI. I figured it was just one of those, "I don't want to treat a borderline, because the prognosis is poor, etc." Now, I honestly believe that he really just can't help me. He and I aren't a match. It hurts to think about that.

Oh my...that's so sad. Who took care of you when she was hospitalized? Those early years are so important.

Why are you interested in birthdays? Is that due to an interest in astrology? I don't actually remember her birthday. I guess I've blocked it. It's in the spring, when the crocuses bloom...or maybe hyacinths. It's been so long, it's a bit fuzzy. At my age, everything is a bit fuzzy!

Do take care. Emmy

If you want to get emboldened (is that a word?) to put together some unique ensembles, may I suggest watching Sex and the City videos, right around season 2 and 3. After seeing the get-ups that Patricia Fields puts on Carrie I just start thinking 'Hey-- you can throw anything on any old way and call it fashion'. Or check out the creative clothing of Tokyo teenagers in this book "Fruits". I'm not sure it's really such a good influence on me come to think of it. :-)
