Awaking with a scowl

Posted by Dinah on February 22, 2004, at 8:28:28

Lately I've been waking up with headaches, but yesterday and today I've been noticing that I'm waking up with my face muscles tense, which probably explains that. In fact I've been waking up with the edges of my mouth almost touching my chin, in an intense scowl that I don't think I could manage awake.

I wonder what on earth I'm dreaming about? And worse, what this is doing to my aging face tone. (scowl).

Maybe you're the first astronaut to set foot on mars and the scowl is the take off with mammoth G force
I wake often shouting, literally. On a rare occasion laughing.

Oh, I like that explanation much better. I've never scowled awake like that in my life! Definitely G force. But now can it go the other way, keep up for a while, and give my face a nice little lift?

Maybe I'll sleep feet to headboard tonight. :) (nm)

I can think of one thing you may be dreaming about, but I promise you won't like my answer.....

Maybe you're dreaming that your therapist isn't really sexually ambiguous? A "dream" (and I say dream, because of course that would only be a dream, We ALL know that your therapist is one of the few without gender, or body parts to go along with..) like that would definetely make you wake with a scowl. Dinah my dear, are you scowling now after reading this? :)

lol. Nope, I'm smiling. That isn't it, I'm afraid.

I suspect it may be work related. Or not. I always, I mean always, wake up with at least one clenched fist. Perhaps the frustrations of being "good" all the time get to me in my sleep.
