Everything I want to say on this board, I can't. Which is really too bad, because I'd love to say a few things to a few people. Why? Why should it matter to me that some people seem pissy and others smarmy and some don't like me and some I don't like.
I keep reading these threads and all I can think of are things I want to say but can't. What if for one day we could say anything we wanted? What if we had (just playing, not really suggesting this) an 'Uncivilized Day', where all you got in trouble for was not being honest. I guess it might be our last, but I wouldn't want that.
I just want to say ___________, and _________, so badly. But I can't.
And what would be the point, really?

As it is I'm already fearing my dear friend Pollyanna's response!

I know what you mean regarding the *need* to hold back. However, if you think about it, you'd probably only be blocked for a week.
It's not that I recommend it but I'm really curious... ;-)

Sometimes the best therapy IS to say everything, but just don't direct it at the person(s) you need to say it to. You can say it to me, I'm an open ear, and I rant myself, I have to or I'd start punching things. Let me know, I can give you my email address- I'm here to help (even though I'm a complete stranger)

Though it was presumptuous of me, I don't quite recall being invited. Hmmm.. But as long as you
said YAY! I guess that means its okay.. Right??

At times like those I can't recommend enough having a civility buddy. My civility buddy and I instant message, but I'm sure it would work with email too. You can say all the things you'd like to say on the board, but with no PBC's. Then you can let off enough steam to be civil on board.
Ok, everyone pair up. ;)

!!!GASP!!?? Surely, You never have such thoughts why would you need a civility buddy?
<grin>
Or.. is that just how you manage to stay so darn tactful on the board. Its a good idea.

Please don't read that as snide sarcasm it wasn't meant that way in the least. I just realized
with how stressed everyone is that easily could have come across that way

Chuckle. Well, I'm one of the relatively unstressed ones at the moment. Full of the warm happies from therapy. Work is crazy, but I feel pretty good.
But Gabbi, I'm not sure I'd ever read something as snide sarcasm from you unless you hit me over the head with it. Honestly, once I consider someone a friend, I usually assume I misunderstood anything that sounded less than friendly. You'd have to work hard to insult me. :)
But truly, I saw nothing in your post to misinterpret even if I wasn't so fond of you. It was perfectly fine.
And yes, that's my secret. :) Even so, sometimes I can't blow off enough steam, or no one's around, and I say more than I should.

From the FAQ:
Also, please don't post under more than one name at the same time. If for any reason you feel you need to change your posting name, follow these steps:
Stop posting under your current name.
Re-register ("for the first time") under a new name.
Post a message (under your new name) at Psycho-Babble Administration saying that you used to post under a different name. But not necessarily specifying that name.
The last step is to try to reassure people that posters who appear to be new really are new.
This is the end of the thread.
