Well, I've decided to post as often as I can something positive. I still feel way crappy, but I like you guys so here we go.
Well, today my daughter and I got rid of a lot of old stuff in her room. Now there's room for all of the stuff from Santa.
About the snails... One of the more rewarding hobbies I've been able to keep are fish and reptiles. I have a tank with 5 5" Goldfish and a big Plecostemus. I also have a planted tank with a Jack Dempsey and Spiny Eel. The Jack is a real mean fish. I digress. I have a turtle tank with a Red Ear Slider hatchling, feeder Tetras and Goldfish, plus two Mystery Snails.
I looked in on them today and found 20 or more baby snails about 1/8 to 1/4 inch long. They look alien. They have transparent bodies with soft shells. Pretty neat. Escargot anyone?

That is soo neat! I remember the first time I realized my goldfish had reproduced in my pond I was estatic. The snails have babies too, but I never see them until they get bigger. My fish tank is boring, relatively speaking. It's a 29 gallon saltwater tank that's been set up for 3 years. I've had no change of scenery in that tank for the past two years. The fish that are there are healthy, so there's been no reason to get new fish. Should be glad that I seem to be so good at taking care of them. I'd like to get rid of the puffer so that I can have some invertebrates. As it is, a nice cleaner shrimp would make an expensive meal for the puffer. I also have a clownfish, royal gramma, and an orangespotted goby.
Keep up the good work with your tanks!

Congratulations on the baby snails. I have snails in all our fish tanks and none have ever reproduced.
