all right Larry Hoover when do I get worried?

Posted by Jai Narayan on December 3, 2003, at 20:35:15

I have tried to remain calm and cool. It's not in my nature but for your comfort, god knows I have tried. I sat back and waited, and waited and still waiting....I am worried. what am I, a mamma hen? You are a sweet, kind lovely man...did I get that right so far? I am a hot blooded menopausal mama. I can't wait too, too long to make sure you are okay. LARRY HOOVER ARE YOU OKAY? I am sorry I just gotta know. I am going away for a short time but will be thinking of you. You know don't you that we on this board really,I MEAN REALLY care about you? Please keep in contact. Okay I have said enough...yours

> I have tried to remain calm and cool. It's not in my nature but for your comfort, god knows I have tried. I sat back and waited, and waited and still waiting....I am worried. what am I, a mamma hen?

Maybe. Momma hen I can handle.....but like I said, I backed off to look after myself. I have solid coping strategies in place.

> You are a sweet, kind lovely man...did I get that right so far?

I like to think so, thank you.

Here's where we get into a topic that I hoped to not have to directly address....just because the meaning of your words can be taken in different ways....so please forgive me if I've got your meaning wrong...

My sweetheart is very very good at meeting my emotional needs, and I don't turn to these boards for that....

Out of respect for her, can we please keep this overtly platonic?....I wouldn't want to have to just not talk to you at all.

Take care Jai. I will be fine, though it is a struggle just now.

You have no idea how happy that makes me. I love honesty. You are the best Larry Hoover, and I mean it!
> Out of respect for her, can we please keep this overtly platonic?
Platonic is all I have ever wanted. But good honest affection and love has never been a problem for me or my partner of 17 years. I thought I had made myself very clear from the start....I am in a wonderful committed relationship that I totally honor. Does your sweetheart post on this site?
Please assure her/or him (I hate to be presumptious) that I am one of the many who really care about you, Larry Hoover. As I said in another post you have won my heart. I am loyal and true. My favorite relationships are platonic. I can be faithful (as in a full relationship) to one person at a time....and at this time it's my bubby...
....I wouldn't want to have to just not talk to you at all.
I hope that you can still talk to me????!!!!!!
I would never hurt anyone....I hope to have you as my friend.

> Take care Jai. I will be fine, though it is a struggle just now.

I hope you will be fine....you are so special and (as a friend) I never want to threaten our connection.

Pretty good at the honesty part, yes.

> > Out of respect for her, can we please keep this overtly platonic?

Great. Do you see why I needed to be sure of that?

> But good honest affection and love has never been a problem for me or my partner of 17 years. I thought I had made myself very clear from the start....I am in a wonderful committed relationship that I totally honor.

There's no doubt now. Thank you. Of all the things that trouble me, not knowing has to be the worst. Give me the straight goods, and I can make decisions. It's just that simple.

> Does your sweetheart post on this site?

That is nobody's business. Sorry.

> Please assure her/or him (I hate to be presumptious) that I am one of the many who really care about you, Larry Hoover.

That was funny in a sweet kind of way. The him/her bit. I don't have any prejudice that way when I think of others, but I'm not used to getting that back from others.

> As I said in another post you have won my heart. I am loyal and true. My favorite relationships are platonic. I can be faithful (as in a full relationship) to one person at a time....and at this time it's my bubby...

Thanks for adding the extra conditions upon which winning your heart applies.

> ....I wouldn't want to have to just not talk to you at all.

That situation depended on other answers you've given me, and no longer applies. We can be friends.

See above.

Larry, if you ever need to check out why I say anything....I am there.

Boy that's for sure...I guess I wanted to state clearly to your sweetheart..(very sweet name for your significant other) That I am here to be freinds, good close friends, with a heart and some deep caring.

> That was funny in a sweet kind of way. The him/her bit. I don't have any prejudice that way when I think of others, but I'm not used to getting that back from others.

Get this: most of my ancestors have died from some kind of heart failure. So "use it or lose it" is my moto. I used to be so completely fearful...now that that part of my life is over...I just go ahead and love people completely and fully. I am no longer afraid of loving or being kind.
