Thanks For Your Support On Admin. Board

Posted by Destroyo on November 28, 2003, at 2:57:42

I'm outta here, regardless, but let me make a point: the various proposals for alternative forums, are in my humble opinion, a little too byzantine. Any chat room of which I am a member, that any NICE people are on, if they mess with you, they mess with me. I'll crush them like insects. It's what I practically LIVE to do.

After reading a few posts and seeing that the same is still the same.......I'm thankful that I no longer depend upon this site for good mental health support. And before you all get your drawers in a wad, I'm speaking for myself and only myself. It's okay for people to disagree with the way this place is "unrun" and to leave if they so desire. I support self-blocking wholeheartedly! I no longer have to have the porta-potty by my computer chair so I won't miss someone putting someone else down! I don't worry
that someone is someone else........HAPPY HOLIDAYS, J,S,L & K! WE ROCK!

>wow that's some pretty brave talk. And why would you want to do that? what happened to you out there in your world? You sound so raw and hurt. I hope you get the love you need...

depending on a web site for your mental health needs? It seems like a lot of expectations for this site.
you might want a group for support or a therapist, why take all your needs to a computer site?

I think if there were self blocking then some of the people who have been hurtful and unsupportive would have moved on. But it seems that some of the people are getting off on hurting others...

I have always wondered what that phrase meant. It appears to me, IMHO, to be used by people who are hurt.
good luck out there.

I can't believe it! I stayed away from my computer for 24 hours and never got to speak to the all-entertaining Destroyo.

Please reconsider coming back after two weeks.

Jai! If you go to a dictionary you will see that the word "support" is different from the word "need". I used the word support. Big different... Self-blocking means that when you feel that you need to go....you do....for weeks, months, years....whatever suits you best.
You're new. After you've been here awhile, you'll understand. Good luck, hon.

but isn't that true of anything, you leave when you are ready to go?
> You're new.
true
>After you've been here awhile, you'll understand.
>Okay I guess you have been here longer than me. What will I understand? That if I ask for support that can't be supported it won't be supported? I am so confused by your gleening.
Good luck, hon.

Well that sounds sweet enough. I like the hon part.
Well I guess thanks for caring enough to communicate with me.

Jai Narayan,

Maybe this is part of what fayeroe means by the comings and goings from this board and taking breaks:

if i were you, i'd stay close to this site and not spend too much time on social and administrative.....you'll learn alot here and get serious support....and i know the wrath of the other two boards is going to fall on me and i may get banned..........but i've been banned before for speaking my mind. if you want to, go to xxxxxxxx@ yahoo.com and we can talk there more openly.....there's about 8 of us there.....we left here pretty much because we needed more freedom.........fayeroe

The archives show a lot of information about posters and styles and might even reflect more than a poster is aware of.

I hope you find support here. Not even sure what you were looking for in this thread.

Take care and I like the name change. Thanks for explaining the meaning of it in another thread.
