Has anyone read this book?

"Too Loud, Too Bright, Too Fast, Too Tight: What to Do If You Are Sensory Defensive in an Overstimulating World" by Sharon Heller.

I like the concept of the book, but I'm not sure how helpful it would be.

Sounds interesting. I think you are someone who is sensitive to sensory stimuli (me too!). The only way you'll know if the book is helpful is to try it. Maybe ask your librarian to order it for your local library, and then you don't have to purchase it?

Not purchasing sounds wise.

The "Mental Shielding" book and tape I bought years ago is still in it's shiny plastic wrapper. Perhaps I should vow to read all the books I own before I buy more.

Your local library can also borrow the book from another library for you through interlibrary loan. Takes a couple of weeks.
