I have therapy tonight - can't decide if I want to:
(a) eat the ice cream I have at home,
(b) stop by the local gourmet food store for a special treat, or
(c) go to my favorite ice cream place for a double scoop. Were you able to find the Edy's Pumpkin? They had a sale at one of the grocery stores last week on Edy's and, alas, they ran out of Pumpkin before I was able to get any. I had to settle for a container of Rocky Road and a container of Apple Pie. Oh well...
Wishing you ice cream dreams...

mmmm Pumpkin - is it good? I love ice cream - Ben & jjerry's chubby hubby my all time favorite.
You should go for the double scoop - with sprinkles.

I haven't had Edy's, but a local dairy farm here with a country store makes Pumpkin Pie ice cream that is delicious. If you like pumpkin, which I really do. But I saw the Edy's pumpkin at the grocery store and had mentioned it to Fallsfall.
I love B&J's too - especially Cherry Garcia and Uncanny Cashew. Yuuummmm...
But the homemade ice cream at the country store beats all, I do believe.

Now I'm craving pumpkin ice cream yum. You know what else is good? Those finger cookies with jelly in the middle dipped in chocolate and sprinkles. When I buy those I wind up waking up in the middle of the night to eat more. My fiance goes for some and they're gone. No self control with sweets :).

I tried to be good and have frozen yogurt at the scoop shop instead of ice cream, but after a few bites I bought a brownie and crumbled it into the bowl.
miss you guys

Sorry, it took me a couple of days to dig out of Psychological and get over here.
I definately prefer the go out and get a double scoop. Having someone serve you can be important.
I best like the places where I can sit outside and face trees or bushes. I turn my back to the world and it is just me, my ice cream and nature.
So, depending on my needs at the time, I choose ice cream places based on:
1. Flavor
2. Sit viewing nature
3. Quiet
4. Amount of Hot Fudge in the Sundaes
5. Humor of the wait staffUsually home is more claustrophobic and depressing (since this is where I am in pain most) so I definately try to go out. Once I couldn't bear to see anyone so I bought my Cumberland Farms Chocolate Lover's Passion, went home and held my dogs. Each day is different - you have to learn to fine tune your comfort based on your discomfort.
Haven't tried the Pumpkin yet. Been real focused on CHOCOLATE recently.
This is one of my very favorite subjects.
So, Penny, what kind of ice cream did you have, and where?

If I admit that I don't like ice cream? Or sweets in general really.
Oh, an occasional mint ice cream with chocolate chunks and hot fudge topping, expecially when I'm in PMS.
But mainly not. :((
I drown my sorrows in bread and butter or pasta.

Can we trade? I'll take your ice cream, and you can have my bread and butter and pasta (actually, I eat ravioli 2 or 3 or 4 times a week. It sits in the freezer until I need it, takes 5 minutes to make and only dirties one pan - I warm the sauce in a mug in the microwave).
Please still be my friend
