Yikes! I got caught...

Posted by Wildflower on September 30, 2003, at 8:50:51

How embarrassing... I've been viewing this board at work and I've been really good about being discrete. However, my boss just stopped in and I thought I closed the window - but I didn't. When I turned back to my screen, there was "Lexapro vs. Wellbutrin" in nice big letters. Ugh! Any chance we can get Dr. Bob to make the subject lines of the threads smaller? ;-)

At least you can take comfort in the fact that he probably hasn't ever heard of either medication and doesn't even know they ARE medications. Now, if the subject line had been about Prozac, that might be a different story!

I would suspect if someone knows the names of those antidepressants, they know someone close to them that is on them or may be on them, themselves.
Also, by hiding we only reinforce that it is shameful to be on AD's.

... by the uninitiated, over-the-shoulder onlooker, for "Wellbutrin vs. Lexapro" (not to minimize your anxiety over the situation, but by way of lighthearted diversion):

1) updated super hero or monster battle of epic proportions, along the lines of Godzilla vs. Mothra, only with Matrix-style production values and featuring a techno soundtrack

2) upcoming pay-per-view event featuring Brazilian street fighting champions trying to make a name for themselves on this continent after overcoming incredible ob-stack-culls in their paths

3) agressive marketing campaign featuring a face off between two top brands of deep conditioners for dry, listless, flyaway hair, featuring a sad yet beautiful girl whose problems all disappear after using the advertized product

I like the alt-tab combination to quickly and discreetly change to whatever application I was in BEFORE I started reading Babble!

There's a button called "show desktop" that when you click it, it minimizes all your windows all at once. I have it on my toolbar and I discovered it when I got win xp. Maybe if you did a search for "show desktop" you'd be able to find that. Very nice.

Thanks, James! I didn't know that trick. I always wondered what the windows key was for. Yes, I'm one of the many probably millions of people who use a computer daily without ever having had any training. Most of what I've learned is from stumbling upon stuff and getting hints and tips from other people.

Thanks--this comes in handy.
