Nikki,

I wish I had some way to help you disengage from the endless circular arguement that you, me, and james haplessly stumbled into.

We know from experience that any meaningful exchange with certain posters might be beyond what we can handle at a certain time.

How can I help you disengage from this unhealthy situation? I would hate to see you harmed further by something that can lead to crazy making.

I read your posts on 2000 and since I cannot respond there I have to link this to PSB.

Know you are *not* alone in your frustration. I'm taking lots of deep breaths too at this one.

Want to join me in just up and walking away from this particular thread?

We can ya know.

Please take care of yourself and don't worry about the flat being sparkling for the friends. Take care of you. The doc's visit sounded rough so I just pray you lay low and rest a bit before turning into the cleaning tornado. ; )

An honest kind offer put out there because I hate to see anyone run off because of the lack of control shown by others.

Be gentle with yourself Nikki.

You're too sweet...

I have now removed myself from the coversation anyway.. my friends will be here in an hour, and I need to dress, do make up, do hair etc, and prepare the vegies for dinner!! (Mmm... Lemon Risotto with garlic baked portobello mushrooms!)

Then tomorrow I go into hospital (at 7am!! yeurgh!) for surgery on my elbow, and will be in plaster for a week, so probably no typing for Nikki (I will be reading though.. I warn you!!)

Thanks again.. you;re a very very sweet and nice person

Nikki,

If I weren't so darn med ill I would be salivating at that delish dinner you are preparing. Lucky friends!

I hope the surgery goes well and I shall pray for a speedy recovery from that. I think a week without typing might be a tiny blessing from the universe.

Go git gussied up and look fab! Have a lovely party and enjoy the evening since 7 a.m. is an ungodly hour for anything especially surgery. Ugh indeed.

Take care and you chose wisely to step out when you did. Shar had some wisdom for you over on 2000. You're not alone in your frustration.

Perhaps only read certain threads while you're gone to keep the blood pressure in check? ; ) I know mine rises whenever certain issues are run in illogical circles on some sections of this site. I think we know what we both mean.

Blessings and happy dinner party.

zenhussy,
You wrote,[...I hate to see anyone run off because of lack of control shown by others...].
Could you identify who the "others" are that you are referring to in your post here? If you could, then I could respond accordingly.
Could you also clarify what it is that you constitute the "lack of control" means in your post here? If you could, then I could respond accordingly.
You see, I consider posts like yours to arrouse ill-will toward others and without you identifying who the posters are that you are referring to, anyone that is involved in the thread(s) in question could think that you are referring to them. Also, without identifying what you mean by "lack of control shown by others", your post has the potential to be considered defaming to those in the thread and we do not know which ones you are referring to. Am I one of "the others"?.
I am participating in a discussion group that has an administrative board that is used to discuss changes in the mental health community and being a discussant here could mean that you are referring to me as one of those that "shows lack of control". If you are referring to me as one of the others that show lack of control, I consider your statement to constitute defamation toward me. And if that is the case, please do not defame me anymore, even if the moderator here allows your type of posts here.
Lou

zenhussy,
You wrote,
[...certian issues are run in illogical circles on some sections of this site.I think we know what we both mean...].
Could you clarify what the "certain issues" are in this post of yours? If you could, then I could respond accordingly, for there are issues that I am involved in here and if the issue is one of those, then I would like the opportunity to respond accordingly for I do not consider my posts to run issues in illogical circles.
Also, could you clarify what the "illogical circles" are in the post that you wrote? If you could, then if I am a discussant in that thread, then I could determine if what you are writinfg constitutes defaming language toward me or not by examining your reply to my request.
If you are referring to me as being illogical in my posts here, could you point out what it is that you deem to be illogical about my posts? If you could, then I could examine your reasoning and make a determination as to whether or not you are attempting to use defamining language towrd me, for I am a discussant like the rest of the people here and do not think that I am runnung issues into illogical circles.

Lou,

The above posts are a dialogue between myself and another poster. They do not involve you. I do not have to explain, clarify, extrapolate, so on and so forth for you.

I am not addressing you.

Please do not insert yourself into posts that are communications between two people who are trying to support one another. I find your intrusions very much unwelcome.

Please do not post to me again. I made many attempts on admin to engage in a dialogue with you but that is not to be.

Again: PLEASE DO NOT POST TO ME.
PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO MY POSTS.

Thank you.

There are pros and cons to identifying others. I'd like administrative issues like this to be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration, thanks.

It's fine to request that someone else not respond to your posts, but I'd like people to feel comfortable jumping into conversations here.

> I find your intrusions very much unwelcome.

Also, please don't post anything that could lead others to feel accused or put down, thanks.

Bob

PS: Follow-ups regarding posting policies, and complaints about posts, should be redirected to Psycho-Babble Administration; otherwise, they may be deleted.
