Hi all :o)
Well, returned from holiday in Canada.. and it was soo wonderful!!
I was staying with friends, and was pretty nervous about how it was all going to go.. but it went simply wonderfully. I felt so at home in my friends house and she made me feel really comfortable. We didn't do a huge amount of anything.. just visiting with friends and gossiping a whole lot!! They live in a lovely town in Ontario, lots of green and red trees and fresh air!!!
I even managed the journey (with 4 changes of planes!!) without any anxiety, and even when my puggage didn;t arrive at my final destination (though it turned up the next day!!) I stayed totally calm *grins* I was very very proud of myself.trying not to let real life now I've returned get me down... my husband had done nothing around the flat the whole time I was gone that annoyed me.. but am slowly catching up on it all!!

I'm glad you're home safe Nik and you get that husband of yours to help out with the tidying up.
I know it's hard to settle back into the real world once you've been on a good holiday. Maybe we shouldn't let it happen at all? Perhaps it's better to hold on to the feelings from the holiday instead of sliding back into reality.
Reality can suck! So, I hope you do keep the good vibes from your trip with you for a long time

Nikki, I am so glad that you had such a good time and yes, go ahead and be proud--beam away--at the accomplishment of making the trip on your own.

I think it's so terrific that you were able to make such a big trip, and stay calm when things went wrong to boot! You've come a long way, Nikki.
