I've been around these boards for over three years and Fridays have historically been the slowest day of the week for posting, especially during the day. Anyone have any therories as to why?

Or maybe people pile onto the site on Fridays as a release from suffering through the work week. That's why I'm here.
I've only been here two weeks though.
Just a useless theory. :)

actually, I think the whole week-end is kind of slow. I imagine a lot of posters do so from work- could that be part of it? take care, judy

I've never quite figured out the ebbs and flows of the board. When I'm feeling well, I'm available pretty consistently. When I'm feeling lousy, I don't post. But the activity level definitely does fluctuate. Maybe we should do a mood chart for the board?

I do the same a lot, but still read usually. On the other hand sometimes I feel I post way too much, so there is a rythem...think ambian com on tv...
Actually, I think bob does keep usage stats. maybe ask in on admin and he'll give you a link.
My life does not change much re" weekends, but my presumption is that many, esp those with kids , dates, lives..., ar too busy.

I don't know, my thought was that it's the last day of the work week and it makes a lot of people happy knowing that they're going to have a few days off. Feeling happier, maybe they're a little less likely to post? Just a thought. I realize that there's people here that don't work so that doesn't explain their reason for not posting.

Hmm..don't know. sometimes it seems really quiet on weekends, but other times it seems busy. Maybe sunday night gets busier? Haven't been paying attention to the patterns.
I don't visit babble at work. I used to, but it was not a good thing. Took me away from work stuff--not a good thing for me. I also uninstalled all the games on my computer at work. Too dangerous.
