In 12 hours 45 mins I leave lovely rainy England to go visit a most wonderful friend in Ontario, Canada!!!
Anxiety has kind of taken over my body right now.. I've never flown alone, and haven't been away from husband for more than 4 days since the day we met!!! But I know I am going to have the most wonderful wonderful time!!
I'll hopefully be popping in to say hello, but won't be able to keep up with posts probably, but I will be thinking of you all.
I can't believe I'm doing this!! Its only 6 months since I couldn't even leave the house, so this is such a HUGE step for me!!
Byeeeee!!!

That's fabulous, Nikki!! You must have done some hard work in therapy to progress so far so quickly. Have a delightful journey, and see you soon.

> Nikki xxxHave fun in Canada! I have a distant relative who I keep in touch with through e-mail, and she lives in Ontario, too. One of these days I want to visit her. She promises to show me a good time.
Let me know how your trip goes!

Nikki you may not read this but in any case I wanted to congratulate you and wish you all the best.
Is it an internet friend you are visiting? I am often in awe of the power of the internet. My sister suffered from agoraphobia for over 10 years and gradually was helped over it by a psychotherapist and AD's, but nobody was more surprised and delighted than me, when last year she announced she and her partner were flying to the USA to visit a friend they'd made online. The internet obviously helped her a great deal, giving her the motivation to get well. And while they were over there in NY state, they finally got married after 17 years of living together!!! (My father's funny comment on the wedding card they recieved when they got back: "You've had her on loan for 17 years, you might as well keep her....").
Hope you have a great time, Nikki.
