The hands that need to be held are those of George Bush, firmly behind his back in handcuffs as he is perp-walked down Pennsylvania Avenue, never to return to the Oval Office.

I wish we could too. I keep trying hopelessly to pray for all the innocent families and creatures.

lots of folks would say prayer is not hopeless. I'm not big on faith, but I can at least accept that prayer is a hopeful act. And it makes us feel better. Thanks for the idea.

I guess that's my problem. You hit it on the head. I'm not big on faith either, so it feels hopeless to pray. But tonight, bombarded by those images on television, I just put my faithless hands together in spite of myself. I was watching my cat sleeping so peacefully on my legs and thinking of how scared animals get from those explosions. It just breaks my heart. I'm so tired of my heart breaking. Thanks for liking my idea.

I hate war. I dislike hate.
I hate the lies and all red tape.
Bombs are lighting up the night;
But from what we're told, what is really right?

I don't like oil. I don't like pain.
I don't like Georgie nor Husain,
With all killing and victims slain
What could be worth such disdain?

I feel sorry for the troops.
On either side, they’re in a loop.
They follow orders from their Chief
On either side, I’m sure theirs grief.

And when it's over, all said and done
Then comes the time for the real fun.
They’ll feed us numbers and assess the cost
But what's the use, when lives are lost.

~Bless all the gods’ creatures both great and small

This is a tense time. Please try to remember that there may be people here who support Bush. Thanks,

>>I'm so tired of my heart breaking

I was going to say, Kara Lynn, that's exactly how I feel. Then I saw Tabitha's note. I do wish we could hold hands.

I saw a local t.v show, about how to 'de stress'
during the war. It showed exercises and had recipes for comfort food. I know that there really is no benefit in being grief stricken by this, but the show made me sick. It seemed so ludicrous selfish.
If it wasn't so terribly sad it would almost be funny. The line between reality and satire is getting pretty hard to read.

Nothing special about that, of course. It probably makes most of us anxious.

I don't want to get into the political stuff here. I don't know what I think about it, but I do know how I feel about it.

I feel anxious and worried and I know I need to limit my exposure to the news, but I've not done very well thus far in following my own rules about that.

The only commentary I care to offer here is about the broadcast news coverage, really. As I watched the video feed from Baghdad last night, and listened to the constant chatter of the commentators commenting continuously without having any new information come out of their mouths, like so much play by play, this thought occurred to me:

"They cover sports as though it were war, and war as though it were sports."

A bit anxious but mostly sad.

A huge sense of melancholy.

Lots of the televisions now you can program out channels. Good for those that can't turn it off. What I find helps is to avoid television and read the newspaper instead. I find myself actually relaxing when I do it: comics, ann landers, and reading about the strange everday stuff that people do. A couple from Canada were driving home from their vacation in Florida with their elderly mother and she passed away. At the border they asked if they had anything to declare. The husband blurts out that he has a body in the car.

And keeping things in prespective helps too! This war has been going since before my eldest was born. There have been numerous wars in our lifetimes, approximately one every ten years.

Nothing for me is normal..the day after someone called and asked if I would partake in a threesome--I laughed ...anyway not my style especially with strangers..
Life is just taking the pee.

It's ok tabitha. I am often "involved" with women on various sitcoms. At least yours a real. Wow a Morman, think about all that built up sexual tension, as I sit here and think of my own as well. I bet they would really provide some fun. I think sex is exersize, but I don't really remember it's been so long. (()) ~tony

MOrmon missionaries... yes, and there were 2 of them.. so earnest and innocent. I hear they tend to be virgins. Oh, the possibilities for corrupting their tender young selves. LOL! Like some bad porn movie plot.

Oh, like the "Golden Shower"? I want to know: have you ever partaken of this heinous, perverse practice? hmm?? :-]

Anbody out there in "Psycopathia Sexualis" Babble (Ah-hah! That's MY suggestion for a new board on PB) want to confess to it? Or at least explain to me what the perversion entails? (I have my reasons.)

Ehhhmmm, errr... it's .... ahhhhh... heating up in here!

Dreamer and her threesome proposal and sore bits, Tabitha and her corrupting of the teen-aged Mormon missionaries, Lost's making Tabitha's threesome into a foursome (and Tabby's the only girl! How do we say... uhh.. meow?)

(Sorry. The Depravity of it All --- )
