Anyone out there?

Posted by agencypanic on February 23, 2003, at 19:36:51

Having another bad day so far. I thought that my meds were working:
2mg Risperdal/day and 10 mg lexapro, but apparently they're not working for me today.\
I bumped my dose of R last night to 2.5mg/day-- I'm just not handling my paranoia well.
The ativan just kind of melts it away, but I don't really feel better. Just need to vent.
Won't get to see a doctor until 3/21-- hope I make it that long.

I'm sorry. :(

Isn't there anyone on call for him while he's out on such an extended vacation? That seems quite irresponsible

This will actually be my first appt with him. There is a crisis line that I can call, but
I'm not quite at crisis levels yet. I get lonely and worry about everything and then obsess that all my fears
are actual and on and on. But thank you for your reply.

I'm here!!!! Sorry you are having a bad day!!

Isn't there anyone you can call, like your Dr's nurse? March 21 seems like a long time to have to wait.

Jodie

Ooops, Dinah already asked you the same question. (nm) » agencypanic

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you. I wish I had more things to write to help you other than wishing that you feel better.

Hello agencypanic,

Sounds like you are really overwhelmed.

Do you have someone you trsut that could have some face-to-face time for you?
March 21 seems like a long time to have to wait if you are so anxious.

I will be in the PSB Yahoo! chat room today, Monday, 2/24 around 3PM PST if you would like to chat for a little while. Do you know how to get there?

If not, please keep posting here and know that many of us have been in a similar situation and just having someone to chat with or to leave messages whom realy does understand and cares really help.

Thanks everyone for the kind messages you've left for me. I really do appreciate them. Feeling 'somewhat' better today-- hope I haven't jinxed myself.

I've been in that place before. No big words of wisdom, just wanting to give you my support. Hang in there. I have found it usually does get better, but only if I share with other people what is going on.

Thanks again for your kind words. I was OK until I took a trip out to the grocery store: sometimes I get the feeling that not only
is everyone else in on a joke, but that I'm the joke that they're in on, if that makes any sense. Just feeling hypersensitive of late. Used to be home was a refuge from such things,
now it's as though it's just a place where I wait for it all to start up again. Yes, I know. I know what I'm doing, this type of negative thought process etc, but I just don't know
how to put a stop to it at times.

Days like that
I wear my overcoat to the market
Keep my sunglasses on
Every once in a while glance over them furtively
I wear expensive shoes (bad feet, but they don't know that) and carry a lot of attitude
So nobody thinks anything about it
They just think I'm some highbrow beeetch who they can't quite place
Slumming in the supermarket, hoping to not be spotted
So they avoid my eyes -- stop talking when I give them the "drop dead" look
Pay cash for my purchases and refuse carry out help

They have no idea I'm holding my breath the whole time, and collapse into a heap once I get back to the car
But at least none of the inconsiderate dolts dare mess with me
The ones with a clue are usually sympathetic to what, they feel, is a person whose privacy is constantly invaded and deserves a break
Little do they know how true that really is
Just not for the reasons they think . . .

If ya gotta feel bad, might as well get some mileage out of it. I usually have myself a good laugh the next day when I feel better.

Hope *you* feel better yourself, soon.

Thanks, this was a great post and I'm going to save it. It plays into the 'adult film actress' thread running below. Thanks again.
