I'm on a new med. Stressed that I don't have a job. Health worries too. Ex called and had a terrible arguement. I've been crying for several hours now. I took my son to his fathers (my asshole ex). It was my weekend to have him. Great time with my son, but always upset when I have to take him home. I'm always sleep wacked!!!

I'm feeling it too!!! I completely understand. I really wish I had a major tranquilizer right now to put me out of my misery, at least for a while.

Why can't life be simple, and stress free, if only for a day???

Jodie

uncertainty? anxiety? headache? caution? disappointment?

fatigue? confusion?

Sorry to hear it. Just as long as you're not freaking on your own. Hang in there.

I'm sorry everyone is doing so poorly.

You'll have to add me to the numbers too. Remember that boulder in Indiana Jones that was rolling towards him as he ran away? I've ben running for a while, and the boulder has been rolling over my heels. :( Everything blew up at the office, and I haven't even had time to read Babble! Sigh. I'm running on empty anyway.

How did your pdoc appt go, Tabitha?

I feel like that rock already ran over me. The new pdoc made me appreciate the old one. I may go back. His first action, put me on doxepin for sleep. I asked is it a tricylic? He said no, it's a tetracyclic and has no side effects except sedation. I looked it up and it does appear to be a tricyclic with the usual complement of side effects. He told me to take 150mg, so I tried 100mg. It was one of my worst med experiences ever. Felt like the feeling when you've drunk too much right before you throw up. Like I suddenly had to lie down but felt sick. Afraid I was going to puke in my bed. Pounding heart, paralyzed rubbery limbs, woke up several times with dry creaky throat. Was out for 14 hours, then got up dizzy, rubbery, and craving sweets. Had a nice food binge for breakfast (normally I have no appetite in the am and don't eat breakfast).

I should have been at work 2 hours ago. I'm kind of afraid to drive because my head is still foggy.

Not an auspicious beginning to a professional relationship AT ALL. What happened to the old pdoc?

I suppose it's silly to ask, but have you tried klonopin for sleep? It works pretty well for me most of the time.

I pulled myself together enough today to tell my bosses to get together and set an agenda for me. It's the simple sort of thing that my therapist suggested to me yesterday but that was completely beyond me before today. I regress under stress. :(

I don't know if it will help, but at least I did *something* except hide in a cranny and hope that giant boulder rolls by with minimal damage. Hey, it's a strategy, not a great one maybe, but a strategy.

Don't take more of that stuff without a second opinion. Sounds nasty. And it's smart of you not to drive in that condition.

Hope you feel better soon.

Hi. Good for you re the agenda. Do you suffer from chronic workplace chaos too?

I have considered klonopin for sleep, based on your posts (and others I think?). The effects of the doxepin lasted all day long. I was binge eating from the vending machines and groggy, dry-mouthed, and constipated all day. I realized that this crappy tricyclic is about as good a sleeping pill as a handful of benadryl or an overdose of nyquil-- it's the same sedation. And what ridiculous dosage. If I'd taken the amount he actually suggested I'd be in even worse shape.

Now what? THis is why I never get on a good med regime. I do these one-day med trials that fail spectacularly, then I'm too pissed off to go back to the same doctor and pay them another $100 for all future rounds of experimentation. Why don't they just give me rx for 3 or 4 meds at a time to try?
