Just got back from seeing the doc about my ear. Quite interesting!!
I'm not in the middle of a flare up at the moment, so he was able to see my ear better. He says I have "glue ear".. andthat the discharge this causes is probably what has been irritating the skin in my ear canal and causingt he eczema. So, he has given me a nasal spray, as this will get to the ear behind the drum, where as ear drops wouldn't do this, and also reffered me on to ENT clinic for possible operation to insert a grommit.
Just thought I'd let you know how I got on!!

Nikki, I'm glad they found a concrete reason for your trouble. :) Perhaps now it can be solved.
My doctor finally convinced me to put the steroid cream on my outer ear. My husband was following me around afraid that I'd touch my ear and then touch something else. Then he'd bark at me that I'd done it and scared me half to death. It didn't seem worth it. But I'll do it for a few days and see what happens. (Husband was ok with the drops into the ear canal, just not the cream on the outside of the ear.)
