Hi, everyone. My name is carry and I am new to the post. I have read a lot of your posts. You all seem so nice to have around. I hope I can get to know all of you. I don't have much support around me, except for my therapist. He suggested that I try this site. I am a little scared to share my thoughts and feelings so bare with me. Thanks,,carry

Cool. Your therapist knows about us? I made mine promise to never ever ever read this site. He didn't have any problem making that promise. :)
It's nice to meet you, Carry. And we're not all that scary. Most of the time we have a lot of fun, as well as support each other.
Come on in, sit back, take your shoes off and make yourself comfy.

Welcome to this site! I'm a fairly new poster myself although I've read posts for quite some time now. I hope this site is as helpful to you as it has been for me.

Hi Carry, welcome to PSB! How interesting that your therapist recommended this site!It is scary to share your thoughts and feelings and I think most of us here appreciate that and won't push. I've found this to be a very caring and supportive group of people and I hope you will find it that way as well.
Take care,
Mik

Hi Carry, welcome.
I never told any of my therapists about this site. I'm not sure why, maybe because I've never told anyone about this site. I want to keep you all to myself! :)
Happy days,
Rachael

Carry
Everyone here started at some point as a new poster, and everyone moves along at his or her own speed in terms of how comfortable we feel talking about ourselves. You might want to start by telling us a little bit about yourself - just the dry stuff if you want.
Things are better for me now, but when I first started coming here, like you, I didn't have much of a support network. I live in a small town, and was very circumspect with friends and coworkers about my depression. (Basically no one knew except my husband, and I worked hard to mask things, even with him) I don't know if one of your problems is depression, but if so, it can be profoundly isolating. Sometimes the weight of trying to deal with this without anyone understanding what I was going through, was just too much.
Like others, I think it's neat that this site was recommended by your therapist.

Hi, Carry. I'm new, too. It seems we're just the opposite. I have a lot of support around me but no therapist. I'm fairly housebound at times and even though I think therapy could help me, I can't seem to make myself get involved.
Welcome.

Hi Carry,
Welcome. I think it's pretty brave to come here when you feel scared to.
Just read the posts 'til you feel a little more comfy here, then you might feel like putting in the odd comment or two - or three & at some point, let us know what you'd like to about yourself.
smiles, Kath

Hi, I'm new as well, first day onthe site. I was diagnosed about a 3 months ago, but have been trying to find out what was going wrong all my life. I'm a student, and I would also like to see if there is anyone else like me so we can relate with feelings and meds tried.
This is the end of the thread.
