It's like Weight Watchers--Look at all the newbies

Posted by BeardedLady on January 3, 2003, at 7:13:56

In the first week of January, all the new people who've resolved to lose weight show up. It's not that we old-timers begrudge them; we're happy they've made the decision. But our lines get longer and longer, and they take our seats! (I mean this purely lightheartedly!)

Welcome newbies! If you post it, we will come. Some of us, anyway.

(Just don't take my seat.)

The good news is that we DON'T get weighed before we post. The bad news is that we don't get stickers, pens, or keychains if we post a really entertaining thread.

Hi, Beardy! Great to see you around these parts again.

I agree with Beardy- bring it on, Newbies! I may not post a lot, but I read regularly and try to help when I can.

best wishes, MAL

Very funny. I have missed the last two weigh-ins due to my day being Wednesday and that being two holidays. And I haven't been weighing myself at home.

The other day, my keys started falling off my keychain. It's a cool 10% keychain from early summer, when I lost my 10%. Nothing has ever fallen off. Now, it seems like every day, a key drops off.

When I discovered it, I immediately went back on the program and stopped drinking beer. I'm sure it's trying to tell me I gained enough weight back that I no longer am down that full 10%!

Eeek!

Hi. My name is beardy, and I'm a foodaholic.

I also had good success on the program. At the time I was on it, my employer paid for 1/2 the fees. SInce I left that job, I don't go. Now, the depression has helped to maintain the loss of weight. I still eat junk food, but I eat it in normal doses and don't binge very often.

I don't miss the weigh-ins at all!!
