...where she lives that could find out if she's okay? Is anyone in a position to check on her & let the rest of us know? Please?

Thanks, Iso, I was about to post the same thing. Someone on here must know the town she lived in, can't we check phone books, anything? newspapers? Call family? This is driving me crazy, I check the board every few hours to see if she's posted yet... I don't think she knew how much she meant to people here. And she was perilously close to that peaceful, calm feeling that might allow her to just do it... Her post sounded like she was reconciled to the fact, and that since she thought her friend had found peace, that she would like to find it, too. And I still believe in a person's right to take their own lives, even though that's fraught with problems, and that staunch view is worn down each time something like this happens...
How stunningly horrible this all is...Wendy

I remember in I think Sept/or Oct.
When Tina was having a terrible time, someone mentioned in a post, that they had her e-mail and would contact her that way.I can't remember who it was though, so I'm checking the Archives, I don't think it was any earlier than Aug.. so I'll start with Sept.
I tried search, but I couldn't get it delineated at all.

She's not responding. The last I heard from her was around 55hrs ago, and she was very angry, just wanting to be left alone.
I know there is one person who lives near her and has tried to phone her, so I believe that if anything happens that person will find out and will pass on the news.

I have her phone number and address, as well as email. I did phone her & left a message, as well as send her an email.
As Rach said, she was very angry & wanting everyone to 'leave her the fu** alone & not spoil everything'.
What to do????
She doesn't want her hubby to know.....Ottawa is 4 hours away from where I am.
I do think I'll phone again.... What do you think Rach?
PS - I will certainly post it on here if I find out anything.
a very concerned Kath. :-(

I would definately phone again.
Even if she thinks she has found a way for the insurance money to be paid, once the insurance company gets a whiff of anything pointing to 'mental illness' they'll never in a million years pay up.
I need to know that I have done everything in my power to try to prevent her death, and I think everyone else would feel the same.
An alive and p***ed off Tina is better than a dead one.

He's probably the one person who's in the best position to help her! Letting him know, whether she wants it or not, may help save her life.

I don't know Tina... never really got a chance to know her, but I am in Ottawa. She said that she's living in the "Canadian Shield" part, which I'm assuming is the "Base" and which is only a few blocks from me.Strange... maybe I do know her?
Anyways, if there's anything I can do let me know

Well, I honestly can't keep myself up any longer. Eyes are starting to seriously glaze over and I'll be snoring in seconds. Clonazepam is a wonder drug for people like me with Chronic Insomnia. The one thing that I'm worried about now though is that if she was serious about taking a walk in the cold, tonight is by far the coldest night of our winter so far. Took the dogs out for a walk earlier, was literally crying and shaking from the cold by the time I got back here.
I hope somebody got a hold of her or her hubby...

I think it's probably good that Tina is angry. I'm thinking that at least she's snapped out of the blissful, calm feeling that Wendy is referring to: the very scary peacefulness she had acheived in her decision to die.
And that's probably why she *is* so angry and why she is blaming others for ruining her plan.
I'm hoping her anger indicates that floating off into the sunset (or freezing to death, with no pain) is no longer feeling like the perfect escape. If it was, there is still no one to stop her, yet for some reason she sees her plan as ruined. That seems like a good sign.I'm hoping I'm right.

Shelli,
It was your noticing that she sounded peaceful at first (not mine), you said it in an e-mail to me, and I passed it on here...
Anyway, I think you're right (I HOPE you're right) that the angry phase is probably post-peaceful, in other words, she was perhaps foiled in her plan, and is pissed. Also, imagine how she will feel when she comes back and sees how agitated we have all been... And I know she wouldn't have wanted us to be, but it seems pretty normal for us to have gotten so worked up...
So let's hope your analysis is right! Very insightful, as usual!
love,
Wendy
