I bought this cool lamp for my kitchen, it has a sort of illuminated globe at the base, then another lamp on a gooseneck, and a 3-way switch that goes "base", "top", "base+top". After deliberating for a good 15 minutes over whether to buy this thing, and getting the salesman to open it to see if it came with bulbs, and checking it out, and wheeling it all the way to the car, and getting it home, and struggling with the excessive packaging to get it out of the box..... I see that the glass part is broken :(
I have to make another trip to the store :(
just wanted to whine.

Okay okay, my turn. We took pictures at Walmart and I'm always pretty happy with the value/product. So I thought my kids came our adorable (of course I did) and I picked up the pictures yesterday. Today, I was sitting there cutting them all up and I noticed that on the right side of the picture, you can see the background BEHIND our background. They didn't center the camera on the background we chose, so the one behind it shows on the right side. :( So an 8x10 gets cut and you have to make it squish in a 5x7 frame. 3x5's become 3x4's. :( Poop!!
So, I guess I can relate. I'm going to see if I'll get a freebie something-er-other outta it.
Pooooooooop! Oh well, they are still ok to send out, which I'm going to do. I can relate to your frustrations - is what I was getting at. Ramblers Unite!

I purchased a big fish shaped radio - tropical with fruity colors - and movable fins ...
NO batteries included and it only takes 3 so you buy pack of 4 with a lonely spare that will eventually get lost only to be replaced by another lonely spare battery..and so on..
But it was a bargain and it's nasty tasty

You did that rambling just so I wouldn't feel alone and stupid didn't you Sandra? Thank-you.
You know what I hate! When you finally get around to doing that 3year and 10minute job. Replacing a missing piece of something, or changing a washer, and you go to the hardware store, become overwhelmed by all the different brands types shapes of whatever it was you needed to replace so you grab the one you think is right but by this time you've forgotten what the one you needed looks like because now you are comparing it to 1000 other possible kinds so you buy the wrong size and then get mad, but you don't feel like going through all the hassle of taking it back right yet, have some tea first, then decide to do it tomorrow, but you then no maybe next week because you have an appointment up near there anyway do and then that day you decide its just too much to do all your errands, and your appointment too hot, not into it and you don't have enough money to bribe yourself with buying something fun and my god look at all those people in the line-up so you don't go and you put the bag and receipt back in your closet and forget about it until its too late to take it back anyway.Thats what I hate.
not that you asked

Wait! First I want to say Sorry Tabitha... I'm not trying to make fun of you or your broken lamp. I am sorry that stuff happens, and it truly is maddening! :(
But Gabbi really made me laugh out loud (deserved spelling it out instead of just a LOL) That is so me. I bought a washing maching before we moved with a $30 rebate I was sooo excited about, and after we moved I found the receipt to mail it in for the rebate.... I was TWO days late. TWO DAYS!!!!! $30 gone for TWO DAYS. And you know they wouldn't buy the "but I just moved" scenario. UGH.

Then that thing you bought that wasn't quite right and you never took back gets too old to take back, so it sits in the middle of the room for a year or so, while you think it really ought to get donated to charity. Then, it migrates to the car, where it gets hauled around for another 3 months, til you remember to stop by the drop-off point. Then you get the charity donation receipt, which sits on the table for another six months, until it makes its way to the tax receipt file. Tax day comes and goes. You file for the extension. Extension filing deadline day comes and goes. Finally the day comes when you file your overdue taxes. You find the charity receipt, and can't remember what it was you donated that day.

Oooh, I'm envious. Sounds lovely. Once I had a Kit-Kat clock, you know, the cat-shaped clock with moving eyes and tail. It was even the RHINESTONE model. Hmmm, whatever happened to it? Must have lost it in the divorce.
