Dinah I'm fine don't worry.... please

Posted by Gabbi on July 27, 2002, at 0:34:52

I'm not going to be posting for a little while, I'm starting to get on my own nerves.
I saw your message, you don't need to find a solution for me.
Really, if I was desperate in need of help I WOULD let you know, asI hope you would me.
The loooongg letter about me and my Dad was written early yesterday, Things are seeming better
If I was feeling suicidal I would say so. I'm well. Except my own chatter is beginning to drive me crazy. if you need ME I'm princessdirt at hotmail.

And I can be quiet. And a good listener. love from princess calm ...ahhhhhh much better.

Gabbi, I love to see your posts, but I know from time to time all of us need to draw back from the board. I post most when I'm hypomanic, second most when I need support. And I take not-infrequent and rather spectacular leaves of absences when needed.

I will certainly email you, but if for some reason I mess it up, my email is bullyforyou77 (all one word) at yahoo.

Now I will pontificate for a moment with your permission (or even without it).

As much as I love inspired silliness, please remember this board is here for you for more than that. You can post here when you're glad and sad and mad and bad. Why, in the more substantive days of the board (grin), there was quite a long thread on bowel habits. Just be careful when posting mad and bad to follow the civility guidelines so as not to incur the wrath of Dr. Bob. :)

Not everyone will respond to every post, and you must never feel like you need to respond to every post either. I don't expect even some of my closest friends to reply to my posts about cutting, because it isn't something they can relate to. Everyone responds where they feel they can be useful.

(By the way, all of this is not directed at you, it's sort of a general intro to the board, meant to take some of the pressure off.)

Sorry about my tendency to be a "fixer" too. I have to really work sometimes to just listen. Whenever people are making those generalizations about men and women, I always end up sounding like a man, and having to look down to make sure I am indeed a woman.

Take care, and do what feels right for you.

Dinah
