I did see the wee lid, but I wasn't sure it was attached to the rabbit. :) So I got rather too fancy for my own good, and went for the difference in spelling. A frequent fault of mine. :)
Good quiz, dreamer, and so aesthetically appealing. One day I'm going to give that art form a try, but not on board. I love to see people laugh, but not that much. (wry grin)

Thanks tabitha. I am sorry for my grievous error dreamer. :( Apparently I lack both the ability to create and the ability to properly appreciate fine art.
I'm ready to spill the beans on the poem. Husband is unsufferably pleased with himself. :)
Clue #1 V is W in latin
Clue #2 Norman Manetta - That clue is my husband's and is totally useless to any but a brainiac like himself (Norman Manetta is apparently director of transportation)
Clue #3 Some of the words are not actual Latin words but Latin sounding words. (Per husband, my one semester of Latin does not prepare me to confirm this).
Confession: Husband just admitted that he read this somewhere years ago and is in fact not the author. No plagiarism was intended, just a young man's natural wish to impress his lady love. And he knew how sexy I find intelligence. (grin)

Better show you just how badly I'm doing here...
Civile se ergo = See, will he see her go
Fortibus es inero = Forty buses in a row
Novile deus trux = No will he do trucks
Vatis inem causan dux = What is in 'em, causing ducks.

Nope very well indeed. I will give away answer and incur husband's wrath.

Forty buses in a row
No Willie, they is trucks (some artistic license is needed to make this line work, so beardy don't attack the grammar)
What is in 'em, cows and ducksForgive me, blame my husband. :)
