Friends,
I do not know the person that is explaining to you the basics of our constitution. But all he is explaining to you is the first and 14th amendments to the U.S. Constitution.
I believe in freedom of speech and have no problems with anyone posting anything on this bord. I am not advocating blocking anyone for their speech. What am asking for, though, is to be allowed equal rights to speak. People tell of their experiance with their theripists, there pdocs, their mothers, their bowel movements, their sex lives, and their battles with themselves.
What I have been telling you is what I experianced. I did enter the City of Peace. I did have my life changed to a whole new creature. I did overcome.

I respect your right to post here as much as any poster of this forum.
You are very correct in your above statement>>>What am asking for, though, is to be allowed equal rights to speak. People tell of their experiance with their theripists, there pdocs, their mothers, their bowel movements, their sex lives, and their battles with themselves. <<<<
however each of those topics does not enter into every post. I am now posting to you to let you know that the constant sense I perceive in your tellings of your path is that you aren't interested truly in allowing others to find their own way.So far I am only hearing the city of peace from your lips. Please allow others their paths no matter how much it pains you.
Namaste,
Alii

Alli,
The path to the City of Peace has 7 Gates. We all have the keys to those Gates. I am telling what I experianced and how I overcame depression and addiction. What I experianced actually happend to me. I have met others throughout the world that have had similar experiances. You see, most people are waiting for God to return to Earth. I have found out that God never left the Earth. He is here now. Standing next to you. You can be in Him and He can be in you, now! When I left the City of Peace, the Rider said to me, "Lo ,I am with you always, even to the end ..." You can all have God within you, now. You will be living in a different plane, a higher plane. You will no longer be shakled to your affliction. You will be free. But first you must know what you need to be free from, for your affliction is just the symptom of the slavery that we are in untill we are freed. You can be freed by knowing the truth. And that is what the Road to the Crown of Life is about. It is about being free from 3 things. I have been trying to tell those 3 things. But it can not be told in one sitting. Because it is a series of Gates that one goes through to get to the City of Peace. I have yet to explain the last 2 Gates. But those 3 things can be known now.

Jeeez. If you don't like Lou's posts, don't read them for crying out loud. As long as the spirit & intent of a post is not malicious or defamatory (is that a word?) or blatantly hateful, then it should be allowed. Dr. Bob has soul discretion as to the appropriateness of a post & I am happy to leave it at that. Although I don't always agree with his decisions on such matters, I believe a ruling benevolent dictator is the only way a sight like this can function. With such diversity & wayward brain chemistry participating at this site, I think an air of acceptance & understanding has to be the rule. I think a "newbie" would be more put off by a perception of discord than any one posters writing. IMHO

>
> 2. Your continued "preaching". I cannot for the life of me see what is different re: your posts as they swerve into continuous religious territory and Sal's comments that got him banned, a couple of times I believe. In fact his were less intrusive - they tended to concern an organization, not a belief.

Dangerous to those who are feeling weak and depressed because of their mental illness, and who may seek solace SOLEY in religion, rather than approaching it from all angles, including a Dr.'s opinion.

> p.s. I mean no disrespect at all to Christians, which is still what I would call Lou based on his "teachings". I would love to have a discussion about religion here, but have finally realized it's not the place, except in the broadest terms, i.e. terms of faith, meditation/prayer, spirituality, or non-spirituality. And even that is tricky.Hi Everyone,
I don't visit this site regularly, but I have posted things on the original Psycho-Babble board in the past and have been helped tremendously by several people. I was so impressed how genuinely helpful, concerned, and knowledgeable everyone was. I visited the Psycho-babble-Religion board for the first time tonight, and as I expected, I think that this site does more to harm people than help them. I am a very devout Christian; I also suffer from clinical depression. I thank God every day for saving my life through my wonderful psychiatrist. I've been on Wellbutrin for four years with tremendous success. I also occasionally take Xanax for anxiety (as you probably know, Wellbutrin can sometimes increase anxiety), and Ambien once in awhile for times when I have insomnia. I know for a fact that without this medication, I would be either in the pit of hell called depression or dead from suicide. So many people have a misconception about what Christians believe, and I just wanted you to know that NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING Lou said pertains to or represents Christianity in any way!! I was mortified by his posts (if you're reading this, Lou, I apologize for being so blunt). Depression, like cancer or diabetes, doesn't discriminate; it can strike anyone regardless of what religion they are. It is an ILLNESS that can be managed most of the time by a wonderful thing called medication. I guess I just wanted to dispell any misconceptions people may have about what Christians believe regarding this matter. As for this board, I don't think a message board devoted to the very broad term "Religion" is in synch with this web site, which is mental health. Yes, my faith affects every aspect of my life, including my mental health. However, as some of these posts indicate, it is a very sensitive subject that can be discussed in a better arena (Like a religious web site. There are thousands!) Anyway, thanks for "listening." Take care. Racquel
