Tell which person does not belong in the list and why. I will be in-and-out, so could someone that is knowlegable take over and chair this thread tonight?

I'm still recoving from my colonoscopy and polyp-dectomy, so the only chairing I'll be doing is sitting in one. I have mother-in-law company and Chinese food on the way, and I'm already being rude by typing here while they visit. Sorry. But I'll be thinking one up for when company leaves.

I devised this post for a reason and I did not expect Beardedlady to respond correctly first. For I was going to use this thread to bring out something that I wanted to say 4 weeks ago. You see, Karen Carpenter suffered from the same affliction that we have. Her affliction caused her death. Her affliction manifested itself in her as Anorexia Nervosa. I loved Karen Carpenter and heard her sing in front of the smallest crowd that the Cincinnati Gardens ever hosted. Only 165 people showed up , but they were fourtionate. For out of her voice came the spirit of Love. I know that she had the Light of life in her. If you listen to her songs, "Rainy Days and Monday;"We've Only Just Begun"; "On Top of The World" you will hear the song of Life. But death comes upon the just and the unjust. I have found out that when an affliction takes a life, that it is unjust. And the Perfect Justice of God will see that she is ON Top of The World Looking Dowm At Creation. And I wanted to tell you that the poster of ours that had her life taken away by her affliction will also sing with Karen Carpenter. For We Have Only Just Begun.

Well, we loved her in my house. My favorite song of hers was the one that went: "Don't you remember you told me you loved me, baby/said you'd becoming back this way again, baby/baby, baby, baby, baby, oh baby/I love you/I really do." Can't say I ever found anything particularly amazing about the lyrics of any of her songs.
My dad met Karen and Richard in an elevator in L.A. when he was out there for work. I was about 10. One of us (maybe my sister) still has the little white piece of paper with their autographs.
But I'm confused about the post. Sar didn't die from anorexia.

> LouShoot! Just reading this thread today, I was going to say that Margeaux Hemmingway was the only one who never SANG at some point, for her living... Marilyn often sang in her movies, and the famous moment when she sang Happy Birthday for Pres. Kennedy (which is now thought to be around the time they were lovers, or so some believe), and even Belushi was a "Blues Brother" and sang with Dan Akroyd...
Am I way off base here? Didn't get the "cause of death" message here, Lou. I got the "reason for living" undertones. Next time I'll know better? Just kidding...

God, what a beautiful woman. Her childhood was pure hell, and had the Break in it, the rupture, than can set up BPD, but I believe there has to also be Not One Witness. That a child is mentally saved by One Good Person. Whom they can turn to, who takes an interest in them.
Interesting, isn't it. Sounds oversimplifed. .. but not if you shift point of view.
