Well everyone else, friends, family, they're all out celebrating St. Patty's. I couldn't make myself go, even though I feel like it would have been good for me. Still, if I had gone to the parade and made the round of bars afterwards, I would probably spend the whole time wishing I was home. I don't know what happened to me, I wasn't always this way. Twenty years ago I was stationed in Germany and never missed a chance to go out and party. I guess I got old and scared.

It would be a mega bit of socialising, tho. Dont give yourself too hard a time- if you are still up for going out for a meal or a movie with a friend, you're not exactly a hermit!
