my old roomates told the campus not to talk to me

Posted by LiLi80 on March 11, 2002, at 0:43:41

They told everyone that i was crazy, and one freind told me he was scared of what would happen to him if they found out that was talking to me. His roomate jeremy saw him talking to me online and he had to get off because he didnt want anyone to know. He snuck around so that he could hang out with me. I dont know why they keep doing this to me. I stopped interfereing in their lives in december but they continue to crucify me. I hate this.

Maybe I'm missing something from earlier posts - I'm sorry - but these people suck! I mean, I want to say: "Who cares! Who needs them! Who gives a sh*t what people think!"
But it's very easy to say that and so different when it's happening to you. Anyone who listens to them or helps in speading this cr*p isn't worth having in your life. You want to surround yourself with loving, non-judgmental people. So, your old roomates are actually doing you a favor. It's a blessing in disguise: this way you'll quickly see who your real friends are.
I'd say really try to focus on things that give you pleasure and keep you busy. This will pass. People like something to talk about. The less you make of it, the better. The more you go on with your life and focus, the less they'll think you're "crazy" anyway. But believe me, "crazy" is a compliment!

Sarah's right. You need to treat these people as if they're so unimportant in your life. In the grand scheme of things, they really are although it may not seem that way now. What's the deal with the friend who is still in touch? Why does he care what they think and feel that he needs to be circumspect about your friendship?
