Its great. You have the choice of queueing for for a ticket or ordering ahead via a phone line (tho it was all tapping in nos when I did it, but then it was the only option).

The London Aquarium is good too, if you want to walk further along the river (slightly to the right of Parliament on the other side). Tho tends to be absolutely packed with kids!

And the Great Court in the British Museum..

The London Aquariam is actually in the same building that houses the London Eye ticket office... Also "showing" there is a fantastic Dali exhibition.

Kensington has alot of really great museums, Natural History and Victoria and Albert being my favourites.

I live in central london, so if you need any advice, just drop me a line :o)

nikki loving london today!!

Hi, I've seen enormous queues for the Eye on a few occasions so I'd book if I were you. Unless you like queueing a lot. In rain. And wind.

pete.

Im going with my Aspergers group. I know we are also going to a museum. We going into Waterloo which Ive never been to before. Im just thinking what book I should start reading for the train???I always go through to Paddington. One problem is that there may be a tube strike in the morning Ive heard.
Hope to have the chance to visit Central London too-Picadilly Circus and other attractions in that area. I was amazed how fast you can get around London on the tube.
In a few weeks Im off again to London on businss though. Im posting this messgae from my new house. Just moved in today. Very hectic.

Hi PaulB,

Don't go to the British museum, its really boring. The only highlight is the mummy or dead body thing, I can't remember now ! I guess I might think that cos I used to live around the corner from it, you might have a different opinion.

The London eye is cool.

Stay away from leicester Sq, Its a nasty tourist trap !! Try covent garden, its kinda trendy, lots of nice shops, bars and restaurants. The market there can also a a bit touristy as well.

Definately go to Camden Town !! Its fantastic.

Well i don't really know if you wanted advice, but hey.

So you're there now? How is it going? Or have you left already?

Just went for the day Bob with the group. To be honest I wasnt that impressed with the London Eye. Maybe it would be better at night? However we saw the British Flag blowing at Buckingham so the Queen was home. Went to some nice restaurants and it was the natural history museum we went to. After this we went to the big Waterstones bookshop and Harrods and Harvey and Nickols.
In two weeks I will be in London for a week so it will give me more chance to explore.
