Hello Everyone. I've been away for a while. Just wanted to check in at this unbelievable time. I hope you and those close to you are
okay...although okay takes on a new meaning. We have been receiving many messages and requests for help on our website at http://www.undoingdepression.com and it's just the
beginning. Because we are only two hours from NYC and Dick is there every Friday, he is hearing from many frightened people--indeed.
is on the phone almost constantly.I also just got permission from playright David Rabe to put up the play he wrote with Dick based on case studies and situations in
Undoing Depression. At this point the drama is not as dramatic as real life, but it's there if any of you would like to read it.
Take care
Robin

My dear!
New Yorkers? Frightened?
HA!
That'll be the day!
We Gothamites (or is that Gothammers?) (try that with a lisp!) stand tough and united against the very worst of the worst (including Yoko Ono's makeup artist, dress designer and singing)."True natives" are never, ever frightened. (However, scared shitless is on a different level of consciousness).
Brooklyn is even tougher. We had Son-Of-Sam and DISCO. How much worse can THEY be? HA!
Frightened, my hiney!
It's going to take more than a big stinky worm to damage this BIG APPLE, let me tell you!
Greetings to Willow, my dear.
Greetings to Dreamer, my dear.
Greetings to Tina, my dear.++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You made me love you
I didn't wanna do it, I didn't wanna do it.
You made me love you
and all the time you knew it, I guess you always knew it.
You made me happy, sometimes you made me glad.
But there were times, my dear, you made me feel so sad.
You made me sigh 'cause
I didn't wanna tell you, I didn't wanna tell you
I think you're grand, that's true
Yes I do, 'deed I do, you know I do.
I must tell you what I'm feeling
The very mention of your name
sends my heart reeling.
You know you made me love you!HOMAGE TO "JUDY! JUDY! JUDY!" GARLAND

Hey, Kazoo
Maybe "frightened" is not the right word, but he is hearing from New Yorkers...and Brooklynites.
Both our kids live in Brooklyn, work in Manhattan, and we see a lot of shock, numbness, a sense of loss...leading to anger on the part of some but still just shock from many. Especially young people just starting out. Some New Yorkers, tough as they are, may need help getting their emotional lives back together. That doesn't make them not true New Yorkers.
Let's just hope everyone gets the kind of help they need.
