My sudden burst of brush with sudden death...

Posted by kid_A on August 2, 2001, at 20:24:52

The facts: atlanta, tifton, slight rain, semi trucks kicking up mist, cant see, attempt to pass, hydroplane, one 360, another 360, oncomming traffic barely missing me, powerslide into ditch, get out of ditch into ankel deep water... tow, 100.00 poorer... drive home, some small problems w/ car, but turns out to be nothing...

Never let it go unsaid that a brush with death will not reafrim the beauty of life... I cant say I wont be sad, but it will be a good long while before I have any suicide ideations...

Just bad to be back home, in FLA... FUCK YOU GEORGIA!!! I hate you're horrible highways!!!

ps. no offense to any Georgians, except for those in the former soviet union, commie bastards

pps. i really dont hate soviet Gerogians either, and comunism, though an interesting concept just doesnt work in reality... socialism has a better chance, but good luck finding a nation that is enacting a good socialist model

ppps. that is all, glad to be alive.!!!!!

Consider a stint at one of the high performance
driving schools. The skid car may be the best (and most fun)
bucks you ever spent..........

> Glad you're ok. I had a similar experience years ago in Florida - only really heavy rain and trucks kicking tons of water into my windshield and I didn't try to pass, just to break a little. My tires turned to skis, like james said, and the road felt like it was covered in oil. I did collide, in a minor way. The rental car company refused to give me another car altho I was hardly their only accident of the day and the cops charged me with reckless driving even tho I wasn't speeding. I didn't feel any better about Florida than you do about Georgia. Give me a curvey northern road any day.
