A bad day... I think

Posted by Greg on June 29, 2001, at 12:54:16

I just lost my job. I don't know whether to jump with joy or go off in a corner and cry.

Packing up 7 years worth of shit is going to suck though...

Wish me luck...please.

Greg

I am so sorry to hear that. Crap.

You have great skills and if you can recoup from the shock with the confidence warranted, you'll find something. Maybe something better? I got the impression they were a bit crazy-making there anyway.

7 year? Why did I think you started at this place last year?

Oh Greg, I'm so sorry.

Maybe go off in a corner and cry, then jump with joy?

Pull a Kevin Spacey in American Beauty, maybe--blackmail your employer, buy a hotrod and a take jogs and smoke joints?

You'll be in my thoughts today.

love,
sar

Sorry Greg.
Remember that transitions are difficult times for everyone, so use all the supports available to you. (Like us!) This is a loss, but also an opportunity. Take your time in letting your next step unfold. And be very kind to yourself.
Take care,
Shelli

I can't say this enough:

DON'T TAKE IT PERSONALLY. DON'T DOUBT YOURSELF.

Just take it easy until the shock wears off, an unexpected holiday.

We're all routing for you!

BEST WISHES

Just wanted to say thanks for the support and wishes. I'm going to get away for a few days and try to work things out. I'm sure things will look brighter once I've had a chance to think more clearly.

Thanks again for your thoughts!

From what you have emailled me, Greg, I think it is definately a good day. Sad, of course, but in the long run it will be a good thing. I know how much you began to hate that place, and how it was contributing to your horrible moments. Try to keep positive sweety.

I love you.

I think it's wonderful that you're taking a few days to think clearly. Every job I have lost/quit/etc turned into a better opportunity for me. I wish you all the best- judy
