Sorry... I can't help with the Cushing's but I did give a horse mumps once (no joke)....
There are several diseases that are communicable between humans and equines. Have you checked with leading vet schools? Michigan State Vet Clinic, Duke, or Purdue?

Hey, Coral,
You've probably seen horses with Cushings, just not known what it was. Ever seen an old horse with long hair, kinda pot bellied, maybe drinking and peeing a lot? That's what comes from Cushings. It's caused by a tumor, so it's not contagious, and it's mostly a management issue in older horses. In a horse this young, though, I assume there's something more the matter and she's likely to lose her horse.
Meanwhile, I've answered her twice on the meds board, and she just posts again. Dunno why she came here to discuss a vet. issue in the first place, but I'm a little peeved she didn't even thank me for taking the time to respond to her.

You're a very thoughtful person. You're right... I have seen the Cushing's Syndrome and didn't know what it was . . .
Sometimes I wonder if people post just to post or don't know how to read the answers or . . . well, just inconsideration.
