I am concerned...

Posted by Rzip on October 18, 2000, at 11:13:57

How come there isn't much activity on this board today? I left with the intention that you guys would return to the degree of exchanges that you had before. It pains me a great deal that things are so quiet on this board. Why?

You guys are welcome to post any thoughts or concerns you have about P-social-B? I am interested in its history...How did the rhythm of exchanges get started?

Rzip,

Just an observation, I've seen this board go 8-10 hours without more than a post or two. This happens on all boards. Certainly don't take it personally.

I'd like to know how you are doing today, if you feel up to talking, no pressure. I'm just concerned about you.

Be at peace,
Greg

We're still here ... glad you are as well. I can't post during the day, and sometimes my Internet activity is limited when I get home.

In the one archive of this board (PSB), there is a thread titled something like "All boards tend to breathe" and it is a really interesting exchange in which people are talking about just the topic you brought up. And other perspectives on it.

Thought you might be interested.

Also, that is how it goes, there seems to be a rhythm to a board and part of it is about time, mental state of posters (sometimes I just read if I don't feel up to posting), and tons of other things.

Hope you are doing well. Take care,
Shar

> I am feeling well today. Thank you guys for the thought.

I wanted to bring something to everyone's attention. I was reading PB today on my University campus computers today, and I noticed that my on-line name, along with the password was already imprinted on the computer! I think it is because I used it previously to write something. Anyway, the lesson is that one needs to erase after oneself in public. Otherwise, other people could potentially write under your name. I did the erase cookies thing, but I have already used a lot of computers on campus before I noticed this phenomenon. So, the take home lesson is to remember to erase in public.

> Shar,

I looked in both PB and PSB, I couldn't find out thread titled "All boards tend to breath". Thank you for bring it up, through. Perhaps, if anyone is interested, we could tackle the issue here. Personally, I am a bit drained.

Zip, I also usually try to remember to erase the cookies after using public computers.

If you are interested in reading the thread I mentioned, Go to the top of this board (PSB) and where is says "Previous Periods" click on the date shown, and it will take you to the archive.

If you count down to the 14th Thread (not post) it's called "All boards tend to breathe" posted by Mark H. on 8-18-00. He is talking about his experiences with boards, and the cycles they seem to go through.
