I actually like group

I wasn't certain at first. It's quite diverse in our experiences and diagnoses, although I must say that relationships is a very common thread that is brought up every week. It's proving to be a "safe place" for me, another source of comfort and of challenge.
This is quite the year so far. No name change yet, but it is possible.

It's been a long time!

Glad you are finding some good support. Groups, when they have positive chemistry, can be a tonic.

I *so* want to be Clear Skies again. Having multiple support systems in place IRL is truly helping. Another hurdle coming up, about which I will remain mum.

I'm glad to hear your group is going well.

I've sort of found a group of my own... The physics people have a study room available from 10 to 2 - with a tutor. And it is quite a nice room to study in, really. The tutors vary... From 2nd years through to PhD students... Our lecturer takes an hour, too...

Seems that most of the first year courses go through roughly the same topics in roughly the same order... But the more advanced courses have harder problems with different additional components. Can learn quite a lot from listening in to questions and what the tutor is saying to other students. People in all the courses forget unit conversions or get their positive and negative signs a bit messed up, or whatever. And everyone has fortnightly homework assignment problems to be getting on with...

Anyway... It is a group of people who I can study around. Do calculations around, even. Even when they are talking etc. I feel... Much happier because of it. I guess it has been so long for me. To feel like I belong someplace. Really glad to hear you have found a source of it, too :)

That is great news, Alexandra. It has helped me so much to find more than one group of people (women, really, but not on purpose) who actually understand my social issues, not wanting to be in crowds of people of where there is a lot of noise. There is a world of us out there, but we're so quiet we are invisible.
