My judgment sucks

Posted by obsidian on January 20, 2011, at 16:45:37

At least I know that much. I am getting more and more messed up. I don't think too many people are going to notice though. No one cares but me. That's ok, that's how it is. Unfortunately, I can't lie to my t and Pdoc. And then this leads to uncomfortable conversations about the stuff I can't lie about but don't really want to talk about.

God Dinah, in so many ways
No one is going to protect me from this. I am alone. You can wait and you can wait, but eventually you know you have to protect yourself and no one is going to do it for you

I sort of feel like I am lost.
I've got to find that stevie smith poem.

I'm not sure my therapist cares about me.

I feel alone. I feel like I can't handle this amount of emotion. I mean I am sooooo sad :-(.

See if you like this.

I have wondered and wondered about it.

It's a good enough question.

Well, it's easily described. The question
'Why does my heart feel so bad?
Why does my soul feel so bad?'
repeats again and again with nice syncopation and stuff and then there is the line
'These open doors'.

And that's it.

It's the repeated insistence of the very good question which will remain unanswered (these open doors?) that attracted me to it.

Then again....I had not realised that the words at that point were 'These open doors'. Presumably it is being suggested that if you don't shut yourself away you will experience debilitating psychological pain.

That just might be the case sig.

You know, I am not very interested in reality. It's too bad really. I have a lot of responsibility.

What do you believe happens to people when they die? I always presumed that nothing happens. I just wonder what other people think?

I have no faith in materialism but I think it will be just like it was before I was born.

Not existing is fine by me; it is the getting there I worry about. That moment of extinction is a worry too, but being dead does not bother me one bit.

I suppose once you don't exist, you don't well...do or feel or think or experience anything. It's the getting there then, and what and who you leave behind.

This writer was on the radio talking about death and about our avoidance of it. She had a relative who was dying and in the days before her death she arranged for the coffin in which she was to be buried to be brought into the hospital room so it could be decorated by the children and no doubt as a useful reminder to those who would prefer to talk about the weather.

I like that idea. I don't know what you do if the grandkids think the idea sucks. I suppose you could say 'Let's go with that. Write that on.'

That seems to put a different slant on it. I wouldn't be in favor of it.
I haven't really seen a "good" way to deal with death.

Yeah, I suppose that fits well. I've had that sort of way of looking at things since I was a teen, but I guess it's in full force now. I am hiding out today, feeling sensitive.
Thanks fb,
Sid
