I want to make an extra pumpkin pie from the sugar pumpkins I grew for pdoc. Would pdoc accept this? How about if I just cut a piece of pie for her? Would she accept that?
Thanksgiving is Monday. Would pdoc be too stuffed on Tues. to eat pumpkin pie?
I wish I could ask Dr. Bob if he as a pdoc would accept a pie from a patient. Dr. Bob, would you accept a homemade pie from a patient?
I'll make sure to give her a list of all the ingredients, just in case she has allergies.

Every Christmas, I make these swedish coffee rings that take hours to make and are delicious. I make one for my family and a few more to give as gifts. For the last few years, I have always given one to my T and he has accepted it graciously and thanked me. Whether he ate it or not is another story. I think most T's accept gifts that we make ourselves.
I decoupaged a tissue box for my p-doc and for my DBT therapist and both still use them in their offices.

They differ widely on gift policies, but my therapist would have taken a slice or a whole pie.
I envy your pie making abilities. I'm no good at anything resembling baking.

My T accepted all my gifts and they were not home made. I loved that she took the gifts and was excited about them. Ofcourse the gift should be tasteful but not expensive and I would never give a gift just like that, only on few occasions. I would have been terrible hurt if she didn't and I think she knows that.

I gave my p-doc a book once and he accepted it and read it and talked to me about it later. Then I gave him another book which I had bought for myself and thought he would like to read and he said, I wish you wouldn't buy me things. When I told him I had bought it for myself, he said, ok, so you're just lending it to me. So I don't really know. He always accepts things I've made, but not always things I've bought.

I asked my pdoc if she liked pumpkin pie and she said she "loves pumpkin pie!". :-)
Pdoc accepted my pumpkin pie and said she was happy I am being productive.
I also thanked pdoc for helping me.
