A couple of months ago, I asked T for pictures of her and her new house when she leaves. She agreed and has since offered to do a video for me, too, but she asked for some pictures of me.
I hate pictures of myself and I wasn't going to do it, but in the last week I've been working on a small album for her. There are pictures of me, my almost-son and my dogs. The album has room for 20 pictures. I have 16 in there. I thought I would tell her that the empty slots are as close to a promise as I can get that I won't go with Plan A -- that I'll be around to send her the rest of the pictures in the future.
Stupid? Should I do anything else?

That made me cry, the thought that went into such a significant, conflicted gift, and the intent behind it. You found a way to honor the true meaning of giving despite the devastating emotions that engulf that relationship, that's totally cool.
Thank you for posting, I am struggling so with Plan A at the moment myself, I really needed to see that.

I think that's beautiful, Therapygirl. It's a gift I'm sure she'll treasure.

Therapygirl, I think it is an amazing idea! You are very creative and I think very thoughtful. She asked for a rose and you gave her a bouqet :)...imo anyway.
