I saw my T on Wednesday and she did remove the dead flowers.
I was wondering what your T's office is like and if it has some odd things in it.
My T's office is pretty big with a small couch on which I sit, she sits in front in an armchair. Few soothing paintings on the wall, big window with a view of a park.
There is a small table on a side by the wall with few books and sea shell(?) I like the sea shells, it relaxes me. It is small things like that that get to me.
Otherwise the place is not clustered with books and papers.

You would hate my therapist. He can be both fastidious and incredibly disorganized and cluttered.
Did you speak to her about it?

Hmmm... That's odd that she didn't pick up on that. Seems like rich therapy material.

My therapist is big on my directing sessions. Maybe she is too. Why don't you see what happens if you bring it up?

Hi Tetrix,
My T had a lamp with a broken shade and a crack in its base. The lamp was right next to her chair so I had to look at it throughout the session.
After months of me asking when are you going to get a new lamp, she finally did only after I asked her if I should stop at Goodwill and get her a better lamp?

My T's office is nothing special. He's been there 25 years and everything looks 25 years old. His waiting area is a mini-disaster, with magazines stacked on the windowsill. But I don't care. He's such a good T and I idealize him so that he could do almost anything and I would think -- that's exactly the right way to do it.

My t has a gorgeous office.....classy and elegant......Beautiful credenza with a clock that he made.....all gold.....just beautiful.
a matching chest which stands against another wall (with all of the things I have bought him on it (7 stuffed moose, and 2 glass globes etc).
soft paintings on the wall...a side table with pretty decorations, etc......we listen to music.
...and have something to drink (non-alcoholic); toast each other....
I used to bring in candles and flowers, but don't do that now. I do bring in food for him as it is late at night.....this week...pork roast, homemede applesauce and stuffing. Ate every bite...I am just too good to him.
This is the end of the thread.
