I posted here a few times and you always have been helpful. I need your help right now. I already tried to call my T three times but she hasn't called me back.
My sister was having chest pain, so I found her a doctor to go to. They did a bunch of x-rays and found a tumor on her kidney. Now they want her to see a hematologist/oncologist. I am so afraid that they are going to say its cancer. I am trying to be brave and positive in front of her but I feel devastated.
I can't lose my sister she is my only sister and my best friend.
Please pray that she will be OK. Thanks

If it makes you feel any better, my husband had a malignant tumor removed from his kidney years ago and they didn't even do chemotherapy -- said kidney cancers are really slow-growing and if they hadn't just happened to find this tumor (because of a CT scan of his lungs) he would probably have lived with it for years without a problem.

Hi catlady,
I sure hope that if this is something like cancer that you are catching it early and that it can be taken care of. In the meantime, I'm going to be picturing a positive outcome.
Of course you want to be strong for your sister. And of course you must be so worried and scared! Please feel free to come here and unload as much worry and fear as you like. Seems like you need to give those feelings a voice too.
I'm glad you have your sister and I'm glad she has you.

How are you holding up?

> How are you holding up?Thanks for your prayers. I had a couple of really rough days on Sunday and Monday, couldn't sleep, anxiety attacks, crying all night and day. We are still waiting for the appointment with Hematology/Oncology. I don't know what is worse knowing or not knowing. I think I would rather know what is going on even though I am very scared to find out. I saw my med doctor, and he said I could take extra anxiety and extra sleep pills. I got ahold of my therapist and I see her today.
Thanks again everybody for all your prayers. You don't know how much that means to me. I will keep you posted.
This is the end of the thread.
