used to see a psychologist but now I see a mental health counselor, title-- LMHC, --I believe those are the right letters.flutterby-mandy

All three therapists I have seen as an adult were doctoral level psychologists.One was GREAT (sigh, I miss her); one sucked *ss, and one well, I am about to fire him.
I am thinking of trying to utilize my hair-dresser as my therapist next.

I did go to a psychiatrist for a bit - I was NOT impressed, although I went to a wonderful one for several years.So there ya have it.

I see a psychoanalyst - he studied psychology/philosophy, has a phd in psychology, trained as a psychoanalyst, is a retired professor in the field of psych, theology & psychoanalysis.
