I am waiting for the seroquel sedation to kick in. I'll be happy to be knocked out for a bit.

Hey Sid
What does Seroquel feel like?
(Especially when you wake up.
Also, quality of sleep)I tried Remeron, (which lasted until after lunch, mandating, in my view, morning amphetamine) and the chemist said that was light stuff compared to Seroquel, so I never got any.
Remeron was good for depth of sleep though.

Seems to pass.(I have (((xanax)))) )
Take care.

> Also, quality of sleep)well, you take it, then eventually in like 30-45 minutes or so it hits, like an "elephant dart" as some people say, and you have to find your bed because you will be out. I'll try and look at a book for a few minutes, but truly, I just end up sleeping with the thing. I guess it would be different if you went to bed before the sedation hit.
Then I sleep very deeply. I don't seem to dream anymore than normally. Getting up is an issue, it happens slowly. In fact sometimes I avoid taking it if I know I MUST be up early, and I haven't taken it early enough to allow for at least 8 hours of sleep. On seroquel I can sleep for 10-12 hours. and of course the effects will be more pronounced when you are not yet accustomed to the medication. I do not know how in the world people take this medication at any time before bed. Some people take it for mood stabilization, some people for psychosis, and I know that some people are doses on it 2-3 doses throughout the day. I don't know how they function. Also, I have seen doses of it as high as 800mg per day. I only take 50mgs at night. I take it for anxiety, and my pdoc says that it augments the effexor. I don't know what that means, but whatever. When I feel really anxious and/or agitated I like it, being sedated is just fine, but it is NOT something I could take during the day.> I tried Remeron, (which lasted until after lunch, mandating, in my view, morning amphetamine) and the chemist said that was light stuff compared to Seroquel, so I never got any.
I have heard something similar from a friend of mine.

I think means works in synergy with the effexor does effexor cause anxiety? Love Phillipa
